This should give you some idea of how we can accommodate up to 5 people in the annexe.

A lot of feedback we get says the photos don’t show just how big the rooms are, so I’ve taken some photos whilst it’s set up for 5 this weekend.

We’ve had a super busy summer so far and September is also busy but if you are still keen to book we have the following dates available:

Never get tired of this walk up Bentyfield mines. I love the way nature keeps trying to reclaim the land from the industrial past despite the human intervention.

Did you know that the ground floor annexe is accessible for wheelchair users? We have a ramp for the one step down to the patio, all doors are wider than standard and each room is large and clutter free.

Why not book a stay for some of the few mid-week dates still available in August?

1st - 2nd, 6th - 9th & 13th - 15th inclusive.

I’ve just waved off a Penine Wayer who stayed last night, now on her merry way up Cross Fell with the promise of better views than I had yesterday.

If you’re a lone walker and would like a negotiable price in the blue room then get in touch. You won’t find the blue room and spa bathroom on BDC and if you book direct it’s always negotiable

We’re all set up to host 6 Pennine Way Walkers on Saturday and they all have access to the spa bathroom and large dining room.

Todays bimble took in the little waterfall written about in Mary Welsh’s book. The Pennine Way diversion currently walks just above it and it’s worth the mini detour. It was also great to see the curlew, oystercatchers and lesser spotted sunshine for a change!!! ☀️

Love this little gem found in a charity shop in Kendal last week.

It was written in the 80’s or early 90’s by my previous biology teacher (known not very affectionately as ‘Ma Welsh’ cos she was a ‘traditional’ teacher who scared the living daylights out of me from my first day at John Ruskin in 1985) and illustrated by my past music teacher (similar style but I recall being less scared of her).

How serendipitous that she walked past and wrote about our future home - the imposing but decaying Methodist chapel - all those years ago. She and I both lived in the south of the county but clearly had more in common than I once assumed and were drawn to the North Pennines waterways and walks.

Thanks Ma Welsh, our paths will cross in spirit once more 🙏

After much debate, we’ve made the decision to part with Moz’s Giant Organ! It’s just in the way, very old, doesn’t work very well and is quite unsightly.

Sarka-jo has decided she can use the space for something much more productive like an infinity pool.

Free to good/large home. You must be able to dismantle and take away.

Lots of people have expressed an interest in buying a fish or two that we have displayed on our bathroom walls here at Beldy Towers. As Moz got carried away and has made a surplus, we have a few to sell 🐟🐠🐡.

We’ve decided on £8 each, 2 for £15, 3 for £20 or all 4 for £25. Each one is unique but based on the four in the first picture and include a key hole in the back for easy mounting.

If you would like some, please send me a DM expressing which one/s you’d like. When they’re gone they’re gone unless they have babies……
