We are currently developing a new program at the recently completed Tour Stop 7, the location of the German fortified camp. It was at this location where the Second Battle of Saratoga became a decisive American victory and changed history. Tomorrow, August 19 and Thursday, August 25, you can meet a Park Ranger in the Stop 7 parking lot at 11:00 am for a one hour-long walking tour describing this pivotal moment. You should arrive in the park no later than 10:30 am to have enough time to make it to Stop 7 for the start of the tour. The tour route is generally non-strenuous, although there is some change in elevation. The path to the top of Stop 7 is fully accessible, however the tour does take a short jaunt down the grass path to the bottom of the hill and then back up. If you can't make it on those two days, keep your eyes on this page or our calendar at https://www.nps.gov/sara/planyourvisit/calendar.htm for more opportunities this fall!
