SARA BACKS CAMILLE IN NEW POLITICAL AD

Impeached Vice President Sara Duterte appeared in a new political advertisement on Monday, April 21, endorsing Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar for the Senate.

"Sa panahon ngayon, kailangan ng tunay na kaibigan — may malasakit sa bayan, tumutulong sa mga mahihirap. Kay Camille Villar, panatag ako. May magandang bukas na parating," Duterte said in the ad.

Villar responded with, "Sa magkakaibigan," followed by both of them declaring, "walang iwanan."

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has welcomed the addition of the label “West Philippine Sea” on Google Maps, calling it a "recognition of the country’s sovereign rights."

"As defenders of national sovereignty, the AFP sees this as a valuable contribution to truthful representation and public awareness," AFP spokesperson Col. Francel Margareth Padilla said.

She added that the AFP remains committed to protecting the country’s territory and sovereignty.

The updated map now shows the waters off Palawan as the West Philippine Sea, separate from the South China Sea.

Google has not yet released a statement.

BAGUIO CITY – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecasts temperatures in mountainous areas of Luzon to drop to around 9°C in February 2025. This chilly weather is attributed to the northeast monsoon and shear line effects.

Residents are advised to boost their immune systems by getting enough rest, maintaining a balanced diet, and keeping warm to prevent influenza-like illnesses, which have seen a significant increase in the past year.
