We added a little something to the backyard and are thrilled with how it turned out!
We previously had a chipping, red 12x12 wooden deck with no seating. It really was unbecoming!
Now we have a 10x30 composite deck with Polywood adirondack chairs with cup holders. It’s a perfect place to relax, breathe in the salt air, play washers and grill up some grub! What do you think?

Gearing up for the Mardi Gras parade! It’s a beautiful, sunshiny day!👑
If you’ve never been to Navarre to share in this celebration, you should put it on the bucket list. They don’t kid around down here….people block off their seating area two days before the parade.🤯
(This is just a little video of the lineup in front of our house.)

There's no better treat than to see the show of these gentle animals. So sleek and smooth, their graceful jumps and dives are sure to receive all kinds of ooohhs and aaahhs. You're likely to see them in the background of any area along Navarre Beach and especially at the Navarre Beach Fishing Pier. 🐬

These sneaky creatures meander among us at the beach. Depending on the type of ray, you may barely notice them because they can blend in with the sand so well. If you're spending the day at the Navarre Fishing Pier, you can usually spot them easier and may even get to see a show as they propel out of the water. Have you ever seen any stingrays when you were at Navarre Beach?🌴

The incoming dive of a sea gull surely means one thing...you have SNACKS! Just ask my fam. I am the one that is always willing to share some chips or crackers with these feathered friends. Another life hack....if you have an unpleasant beach neighbor blasting distasteful music or hits you with their football eighteen times, just leave some of those chips/crackers behind on your way back home! 🤣

One of my favorite things to do is to watch the little crabs scurry up and down the beach while enjoying the fresh breeze ushered in by the waves. If you go down to the beach at night with your flashlight (use a red lens cover please), you will see what looks like a crab highway! The kiddos are sure to enjoy this evening passtime!🦀

Meet Fred. Yes, they are all named Fred. I don't know why but it seems appropriate 😂Fred likes to hang out at the Navarre Fishing Pier in hopes that he might be able to snag some of your live fishing bait.🐟🦐
Share some of your pictures of Fred below!

Navarre is on its second night of freezing temps, BUT I still think I’d take that over this frigid, icy Southeast Missouri weather!🥶
Tonight- a frosty January evening with a warm looking sky as the sun sets over the beach😎🌴

Our Story
In 2006, Lorna Gibbar and Tracey Hagan embarked on a journey of investing in real estate in Perryville, MO. In 2006, the real estate market and banking industry was quite different than what it is today. At that time, investors with good credit could buy rental property with no money down. We were able to take advantage of opportunities to increase our equity in properties by strategically improving them and renting them to fellow community members.
Lorna and Tracey were no strangers to the pitfalls that many landlords in our area and around the nation are riddled with. While many of their tenants were stellar, they also dealt with the occasional tenant that was careless in maintaining the home that they were living in. Lorna and Tracey spent days cleaning the basements of homes that were filled with trash, jumped in dumpsters to smash the remaining trash that needed to go to the dump, hired professionals to deal with flea infestations from illegal pets and even more professionals to deal with eliminating bed bugs. They’ve had to hound tenants for rent payments so that they could, in turn, make the payment on the house that they owned. The life of a landlord is not always pretty but they’ve always made the best of the situation.
Over the years, they always joked about buying a beach house or a lake house or just some sort of vacation home. After spending the past 13 years owning and managing 13 duplexes and 3 single family homes, they decided that it might be time to have a more serious conversation about that long-time joke. In 2019, Lorna and Tracey decided that it was time to start devising an exit strategy for the properties that they owned together in Perryville. Not to worry, they are still avid believers in investing in real estate in the community in which they live. They each still own rental property individually in the area and still own some together as well. But with the sale of some of them last year, they were able to make that long-time joke a reality by purchasing a single family home on Navarre Beach at the end of the year.
They are enjoying the new adventure that this is bringing to their lives. They are learning a whole new facet of real estate investing through the short-term rental of the Navarre Beach home. They’re learning the ins and outs of vacation rental sites like VRBO and Airbnb and are excited to provide each guest a wonderful experience at their home by being conscientious of all the “extras” that vacationers need. They want their guests to simply pack their clothes and just enjoy making memories with their friends and family in an area that provides the most gorgeous white sand and turquoise waters you will ever see.
They are looking forward to adding new properties in Navarre in the future and certainly hope that you will consider being their guest should you be looking for a vacation with nothing but rest and relaxation on the agenda!
