Kansas has a way surprising those who get off the interstates!

Perhaps Kansas' most famous geologic park, Rock City is a small park near Minneapolis that packs quite a punch! Over 200 sandstone concretions, some up to 20 feet in diameter, cover the area. These concretions were formed from ancient sea deposits millions of years ago. Turbulent groundwater unevenly distributed the cement causing certain portions of the sand to cement together. As erosion broke down the landscape, the cemented concretions stood strong and now are here for all to appreciate.

When some folks think of Louisburg, they think of the Louisburg Cider Mill (yummmm!). Others instantly think of fishing at the Louisburg Middle Creek State Fishing Lake (largemouth bass, saugeye, white bass, wiper, bluegill, crappie and channel catfish!). Others simply enjoy camping near Kansas City without the city lights.

Starting tomorrow, 6/2, K-Tag will work on Colorado's toll roads and Colorado's ExpressToll will work in Kansas. That makes traveling a little easier.

Starting June 2, the KTAG will work on most toll roads in Colorado, and vice versa, the Kansas Turnpike Authority announced Thursday.
