Earlier this year, Marshall & Millions, two dogs belonging to a local homeless guy in Poplar, were shot dead by the Metropolitan Police (and the owner tasered). They had been called after a woman, who was walking past with her own dog, got entangled in the leash and the dogs attacked her dog and barked at her. She withdrew her statement to the police and is equally traumatised by what happened. A memorial wall to was set up and we spoke to one of the campaigners, Tilly Cook. https://youtu.be/ZROsyu8c5jI

Note to publicans, railway station operators, national park owners and councils in general: Please remove the alcohol gel machines, or refill them and that way you’re ready for the next outbreak plus it’s offering a service that costs you little. Please don’t leave them empty forevermore ad infinitum. All this does is it means people with dirty hands end up touching empty dispensers, getting even dirtier or adding to the bacteria colony. We probably touched 15 empty dispensers in Barnes yesterday in vain 😂

Enjoy our latest special episode - it's short (just 12 minutes) and tells you about the fascinating Castellers of London who create human towers (or "castells") in London and beyond in a centuries-old Catalan tradition. They are putting on a free show this Saturday near Borough Market. And they're also looking for people to join their Colla (organisation) and rehearse with them for future performances. PLEASE SHARE.

Catalunya has an odd but beautiful tradition going back at least 200 years, (though it has its origins in Algemesí in Valencia). These are the Castells, or H...

We revived an old tradition, "Penny for the Guy", by borrowing two of our subscribers' kids and showing them how to make a Guy and then hitting the streets of Barnet - much to the bemusement of some younger people, though the older people on the whole loved it as it gave them a trip down memory lane. This is a fun episode and we've been up all night editing it!

When Tristán was younger, he remembered seeing children asking for money with a homemade effigy of Guy Fawkes, a tradition known as "Penny for the Guy". You ...

In a couple of days, our final episode on Balham (on Clapham South) will be ready (it's already been released for our Patrons). We will then be filming our episodes on Barking and Dagenham. However, we are also filming a special on accessibility on the London Underground, together with our Patron and friend Kate Caryer whom many of your will have met in our episodes on Alexandra Palace. She has a great insight about navigating the tube on a wheelchair, but we would love to hear from (and collaborate with) blind users (or severely visually impaired). Are you a blind TfL user, or know someone who is, and who we could get in touch with and ideally feature in our special episode? We would like to know which stations and routes are particularly challenging. If so, please let us know here or send us a message to [email protected] - Thank you!
