Spring time calls for a fresh look. We closed down for two weeks in September so we could get some painters in to repair and repaint the exterior of the house. Dave and his crew did a fabulous job and we love the look!

We have had a cancellation on the weekend of the 17th to the 19th of June. If you are interested in having a relaxing weekend in our beautiful villa then please PM us. We will do a special private rate of $150 a night plus $60 cleaning fee (plus a few complimentary items to sweeten the deal).

Due to a recent cancellation, we have a week in February available (14th-20th) on a special summer rate of $180 a night plus $50 cleaning fee. If you book for more than 2 nights, we can do an even better deal. Your stay will include a free bottle of wine.

Before and after! We are working on being fully fenced so we can better accommodate our visitors with pets as well as adding that extra bit of privacy. Huge shout out to Ryan Canning and Toby For their hard work in constructing it. Neither are builders by trade but the result is incredible. We are going to call in the experts to do the driveway gate as we want to make sure it’s perfect and then paint it (currently in discussions on colour, traditional white OR black to match the other fences).

We’ve spent the last 3 weekends over in Blenheim getting the Villa furnished and ready for our very first guests arriving this week. It was many hours with a screwdriver in hand but we are feeling proud of the outcome.

Doing a little happy dance today, we got our very first booking!! This makes the whole pretty scary adventure feel just a little less scary. We just hope our guests love our little villa as much as we do. We also spent the morning buying brand new beds and bedding ready to set up the house when we take it over in a few weeks. So all in all a productive morning! Oh and here is a pic of the delicious Wairau River Wines, it’s one of our favourites!
