Tomorrow is my last full day in Israel. On the one hand I’m very excited to go home and hug my family again, but, as with all trips, I’m also reluctant to leave. My time here in Israel has been full of so many great new adventures, places, and people! I experienced a very unique culture that I was previously unfamiliar with and the opportunities I had to delve into the history, to try the local cuisine, and explore the city streets were nothing short of amazing! I’ll be going home richer thanks to the experiences I’ve had here in Israel ❤️

The only trip you will ever regret is the trip you decided not to take.

At the top of Masada National Park and it is one of the coolest places I’ve ever had the privilege of visiting. So much history has happened at this very spot - it served as a hide out for King David, as a second palace for King Herod, and as a strong hold for the Jewish resistance against the Romans. Wandering around the ruins and taking in the views, I felt like I had jumped right into the pages of history! … and also helped me appreciate the luxuries of modern life (like air-conditioning) a whole lot more haha 🥵😅

POV: when your camel is the coolest one on the block 😎

Travel Update: I swam in the Dead Sea!! Hands down one of the coolest experiences ever! The water is so salty that you float and the desert mountains surrounding the area are 😍 If you ever travel to Israel, go visit this UNESCO world heritage site! It’s a must see!

Travel Update: Had another great day traveling around Israel with a visit to the top of the Mount of Beatitudes and a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, but boy was it HOT 🥵 I’m very much looking forward to a day of swimming at the Dead Sea tomorrow to escape some of this heat and cool off lol

Ending the day sunburned and tired, but had a great day exploring the ancient ruins of Cesarea, walking the streets of Nazareth and Cana, and watching the sunset by the Sea of Galilee! I have more I’d like to write but for now it’s getting late here and I can barely keep my eyes open lol catch up with you guys later!

First day in Tel Aviv, Israel and it did not disappoint! The sand, the sun, the boardwalk vibes… I’m loving it and can’t wait to get to know this place better over the next few days! Has anyone else been to Tel Aviv? Any fun spots I should check out while I’m here?

This photo was taken in Jamaica right before the craziness of 2020 hit. My two oldest were only 6 and 4 so they don’t have many memories of that year, but they do remember Jamaica. They still talk about how we swam with the dolphins, about how we ate ice cream by the pool in the evenings, and how we built sandcastles on the beach as a family. They of course also frequently ask if and when we can go back, haha!

Jamaica was and still is a special place for our whole family because it gave us that excuse to get away from the cares of the world and focus on each other. And that feeling and those memories will stay with us for a lifetime!

I’ve had people tell me they’re surprised that I travel so often with my kids because traveling with kids is difficult. To them I say, yes traveling with kids may be more difficult, but in the end it’s so so worth it!
