๐ฎ๐น I BLACK MAMBA sono senza dubbio il serpente piรน pericoloso in Sud Africa e Namibia, con un potente veleno neurotossico, anche se mordono gli umani solo per autodifesa quando minacciati.
Raggiungono una lunghezza di 4 metri, di cui 2 giร nel primo anno.
๐ฌ๐ง BLACK MAMBAS are arguably he most dangerous snake in South Africa and Namibia, with a potent neurotoxic venom, even if they bite humans in self-defense when threatened.
They are very large, reaching lengths of 4 meters and growing 2 meters in their first year.

๐ฎ๐น Nei BOOMSLANG i due sessi si riconoscono dal colore: i maschi sono verdi e le femmine sono grigie o color senape.
Questo serpente puรฒ raggiungere una lunghezza media di 1,5 m.
Hanno occhi molto grandi, quindi sono in grado di guardare davanti a loro con entrambi gli occhi contemporaneamente e avere una visione in 3D.
I boomslang trascorrono la maggior parte del loro tempo sugli alberi, anche se a volte seguono la preda a terra e molto raramente entrano in conflitto con gli umani.

In boomslangs the two sexes can be told by the color: males are green and females are grey or mustard colored.
This snake can reach an average of 1,5m in length.
They have veeery large eyes, so are able to look forward with both eyes simultaneously and see in 3D.
Boomslangs spend most of their time in trees although they sometimes follow prey on the ground and very rarely come into conflict with humans.

๐ฎ๐น Vipera cornuta del Sudafrica
Questo serpente รจ abbastanza diffuso su gran parte dell'Africa meridionale.
Il colore varia enormemente a seconda del substrato dell'ambiente in cui vive.
ร estremamente ben mimetizzato e difficile da individuare, a meno che non si muova o sibili.
La maggior parte degli esemplari ha delle squame modificate simili a due cornetti sopra gli occhi, anche se questa caratteristica che le dona il nome manca in alcune popolazioni.
Queste vipere sono attive sia di notte che di giorno.

This common snake is quite widespread over most of Southern Africa.
The color of its markings varies hugely depending on the color of the substrate on which it is found.
It's extremely well camouflaged and difficult to spot, unless it's moving or hisses.
Most specimens have a modified scale resembling a horn above each eye, although this is missing in some populations.
These adders are active both at night and during the day.

๐ฎ๐น Quanti giorni ho passato al campo a studiare... mattina, pomeriggio, sera... ogni momento da sfruttare per studiare e per compilare il workbook che sembrava non finire mai. Con una tazza di caffรจ solubile, di fronte il fiume, con il canto di una Dove e il lamento di un Grey Go-Away Bird a farmi compagnia ๐
E imparare cose nuove, ogni giorno. In molti mi chiedevano perchรฉ utilizzassi le ferie per ve**re a studiare, a svegliarmi alle 5:30 di mattina, anzichรฉ stare distesa su una spiaggia a riposare.
Per me, questa esperienza รจ senza paragoni. Imparare, arricchirmi di nuove esperienze e nuove nozioni ogni giorno non ha prezzo.
Ci sarร un tempo per restare distesa a riposare. Non oggi. Non ora.
๐ฌ๐ง How many days I spent studying at the camp... morning, afternoon, evening... every moment was good to study and fill in the workbook that seemed to never end. With a cup of coffee, facing the river, with the call of a Dove and the wail of a Gray Go-Away Bird with me ๐
And learn new things every day. Many asked me why I used my holidays to come and study, to wake up at 5:30 in the morning, rather than relax and lie down on a beach.
For me, this experience is beyond compare. Learning, enriching myself with new experiences and new notions every day is priceless.
There will be a time to lie down and rest. Not today. Not now.
