On July 24, Walt Disney World will introduce new, simpler names to provide more clarity for everyone. Disney Genie+ service will become Lightning Lane Multi Pass, while individual Lightning Lane will now be known as Lightning Lane Single Pass.
Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel and other select hotels will be able to plan Lightning Lane passes up to 7 days in advance, for their entire stay (up to 14 days). All other guests can plan up to 3 days in advance.
The single pass selection is pretty much the same but will be limited to the most popular rides.

When cruising to Alaska there are so many options for which cruise ship or port to choose from and it was difficult for us to decide in fact we changed our cruise ship about 7 months before the sailing due to an itinerary change on our original ship.
So what did we choose? We decided to go with Royal Caribbeanās Ovation of the Seas.
There was so much to do on this ship that we definitely did not get to everything!
We were definitely impressed with the headliner shows and offerings throughout the cruise.
The food in their specialty restaurants was delicious especially in Jaimieās Italian soooo yum!
We had a spacious balcony due to our room location and the decor in the room was so relaxing. We had a teapot with tea and coffee provided daily!
We took a full day to explore this ship so if youāre unsure thatās why you use a travel agent! We do the exploring for you to help you make a better decision on booking a ship!

Roundup Rodeo BBQ! This is located in Disney Hollywood Studios Park. This is a family style restaurant with fixins to share! The theming in this restaurant is top notch Disney theming! The food will delight those picky eaters because we are talking comfort food here! If your kids or kid at heart loves Tory Story then I would put this on my must do list!
Happy Fatherās Day yāall! I wanted to start reviewing my trip to Alaska on Royal Caribbeanās Ovation of the Seas! Letās talk about our port first which was Seattle, Washington.
This has got to be one of my favorite departure ports so far! Seattle has so much to see and do! We were able to extend our vacation by staying three days in this beautiful city and we did not regret that!
This is a very friendly laid back city and the food is one of the reasons to visit!
I will say that our port for our ship was a shuttle or Uber ride away and it doesnāt have any hotels near to it. If you book this trip with our agency I can help you navigate this since we worked out the kinks on my personal trip!

āI get asked a lot why Alaska or why sail to Alaska with Royal Caribbean?!!?? ā
Well with less than three weeks till I sail Iāve answered that one many times maybe because of our age or maybe itās because we choose the Caribbean typically š
Hereās our why: Alaska is on my bucket list along with Canada so this type of cruise you can get both! Also, on this type of cruise you are here for the views, pictures and wildlife!
Our cruise spends a day sailing the inside passage and the views are like no other so Iād say if you are going to Alaska then Iād get a balcony!
This ship has the North Star so pictures at this height will be worth our splurge!
Iām very interested in Whale watching, seeing eagles, bears and various wildlife! So if that skyline itās for you then you may love this!
Royal Caribbean has so much to offer onboard and a covered pool as well so for us itās a no brainer to get in from the cold and enjoy the amenities onboard!
May through October is typically when youād want to go and we are going in the shoulder season for cheaper rates, less crowds and more wildlife options!

Spotlight Today is on things to do in the park other than rides! We are talking about OGAās Cantina at Disney Hollywood Studios. Itās a must visit for us each trip and while itās a bar it also serves alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks for the entire family along with small bites.
You never know who will pop in for a visit while youāre there and the drinks for adults are always out of this world!
Itās always a nice break out of the heat or rain, itās always a good time with DJ Rex!
So many more things to choose from but this one is always on my list. They do require advanced reservations however Iāve walked up at night before and was worked in near park closing.

All I can say is WOW!! We had a lounge reservation which means you have a bar menu with small plates and drinks. I think this was plenty for us as we did not want a large meal for lunch.
I had the Cosmic iPA and my husband had an old fashion but he had it altered a little.
He ordered the octopus which was brand new to their small bites menu and I had the braised beef tostadas and we absolutely loved our food!!! Very delicious!
Letās talk atmosphere: I always was obsessed with space camp as a teen so letās just say this place was giving my teen dreams a run for their money. I loved it!!
I definitely see us returning!
š§” Skipper Canteen š§”This is such a hidden gem in Magic Kingdom. This is our second time dining here and it was as good as the first! My must try is this Brazilian Cheese bread, the kungallosh beer and the unsustainable fish! Yummmm
šThe Boardwalk Resort š
Letās talk about our resort! Iāve only stayed here twice and they were for only two night or less stays. Iāve never gotten to fully enjoy what this resort has to offer and so far Iām pleased!
This resort has several dining options onsite, two of which Iāve already tried this trip! There are several bars and cafes and plenty to choose from!
I will have to say the refurbished rooms and hallways are absolutely beautiful! We love the new look of everything. There are plenty of plug ins and room under the bed for alllll your luggage.
Letās talk about convenience to the parks and other resorts. You are steps within the entrance of Epcot and several other resorts with bars and restaurants to choose from! Also you can walk to Hollywood Studios and take water taxis to both parks.
The night life at this resort kinda makes it worth the stay here from live entertainment to music at the bars.
My view is a garden view room and as you can see I can see the skyliner, the quiet pool and Iām as close as you can get to Epcot probably without staying in Epcot lol we saw fireworks and could hear the music last night!
So first impressions are we love it here! Keep following along there are more reviews and photos to come!
š§³With less than five days until we leave for our trip we are thinking packing!!! š§³
You may ask what you pack when driving and well it looks alot different for us flying versus driving and we are driving! We have and 8 or so hour drive which we are going to do in two spurts.
Packing list
š§³ rain gear: always pack for rain because itās Florida and you never know. I take packable ponchos, umbrellas travel size, very lightweight rain jacket and outdoor sandals.
š§³mouse ears of course along with magic bands!
š§³Halloween gear for our party!
š§³Several shoe options so that I do not get blisters also for two fancy dinners!
š§³lots of clothing options for various things to fancy dinner to park outfits.
š§³medication for any issues: we travel with a mini medicine cabinet because itās expensive and hard to find the medication you know works for you!
š§³Benadryl, sunscreen and bug spray
š§³water and breakfast food for the room!
š§³workout clothes for getting in some exercise on non park days!
Honestly I probably pack too much but Iāve been so much I know that this variety of things work for us! We also have book bags, travel purse and a beach bag for the pool day!

š° Beginning June 27, Guests at Walt Disney World will now purchase Disney Genie+ š§āāļøservice based on how they want to visit. Guests will be able to select either a single-park option or a multiple-parks option, subject to availability. With this update, prices may now be lower at some Walt Disney World theme parks compared to others. Guests will continue to be able to purchase Disney Genie+ service through the My Disney Experience app on the day of their visit.

Letās talk balconies on a cruise š¢ itās something I will always say is worth the difference in price.
First of all, you can watch sail away from your own room and not have to fight the crowds.
Second, you get sunrises and sunsets from the comfort of your room.
Third, you get room service and can have morning coffee āļø with a view!
Lastly, a night cap of relaxating while listening to the waves before bed.
Not to mention, you can always see sights and coastlines from the balcony, when you are in port you get city views, and can always have a sail away from your room.
