The first clue has gone missing again. If anyone knows of its whereabouts, please get in touch, so it can be put back in place for anyone hunting for it.

🗺️ Hidden Hawick Update 🗺️

Thank you to everyone who has joined the hunt, and kept the updates coming.

It has been a couple months since the last post here. I am currently overseas, possibly in search of treasure.

Stepping away from Hidden Hawick for a short while has shown it is able to run thanks to the community behind it.

Big thanks to those of you who sent updates surrounding one of the plaques which had come loose. It is now back where it should be.

I look forward to returning to Hawick and hearing about your theories and adventures in person.

I would love to hear where you all are with it.

HOW TO PLAY

Everything you need to begin your quest for the gold is in the Hidden Hawick deck of cards. This includes the first clue.

After the first clue, there are four golden plaques to find around the Hawick area.

Hunt Master cannot comment on, confirm or deny any solutions or theories regarding the clues and their locations.

RULES

To claim the golden treasure as your prize you must first complete the contract with Hunt Master. While it is not legally binding, there are rules of play you must follow. Breaching these rules will forfeit your claim to the gold.

The rules are as follows:

Leave your shovels in the shed. Do not dig up sites on a whim.

Any attempt to tamper with, damage or remove clues from their sites will forfeit your right to claim the treasure.

You will not be asked to trespass or go anywhere dangerous, only to get your hands dirty.

CLAIMING THE TREASURE

When you are ready to make a guess at the treasure location, you must first be able to tell Hunt Master exactly where the previous four clues are located.

This can be done with photographic evidence or specific descriptions using the Treasure Acquisition Form (pinned at top of Hidden Hawick page).

Only after providing four correct answers will Hunt Master then be able to accept a solution to the treasure location.

Upon receiving a successful solution you will be invited to a secret unearthing ceremony where you will be presented the final key to the code, and with it, the completion of your contract.

The gold is yours.

The Hidden Hawick Treasure

The gold ring worth £1000 was locally smithed by the Johnnie Armstrong Gallery.

Engraved with the mysterious motto 'Tyribus Ye Tyr Ye Odin'. Britain's earliest war cry.

Buried somewhere beneath Hawick. The clues left will guide you, if you let them, to the burial location, where you can claim it as your prize.
