I will be out of the office attending a conference this week! Later today through Tuesday, I will be touring several properties in the Cancun/Riviera Maya area. Today, my 18 year old son, husband, and I went to Playa del Carmen. We took a taxi from our hotel 25 minutes into town around 12:30pm. We ate local food. We drank local drinks. We shopped local shops. We talked and walked with “strangers”. We made it back to the resort around 4pm. This post is to remind you that Mexico IS safe, my friends. As with anywhere one can travel, it’s about making smart decisions. Its about being aware of your surroundings when you’re in a new place. It’s about embracing the culture and all the wonderful people without fear, but with responsibility.
