🧞‍♂️ ICYMI, Disney’s Genie+ service is getting some changes and will no longer be called Genie+ 🧞‍♂️

Starting on July 24th, at Disneyland and Disney World:

🔸Genie+ will now be called “Lightning Lane Multi Pass”.

🔸Individual Lightning Lane will now be called “Lightning Lane Single Pass”.

Now, what does this all mean exactly?

At Disneyland, the planning timeline and Individual Lightning Lane process will stay the same, just that the Lightning Lane Pass will be available as a ticket add-on.

At Disney World, the rules will be changing a bit:

🔹Guests will now be able to make Lightning Lane plans before you arrive for your vacation

🔹At one time, guests will be able to book Lightning Lane passes for 1 theme park per day for the length of your stay

For Lightning Lane Multi Pass, once you purchase it, you’ll be able to make up to 3 Lightning Lane selections prior to your visit. On the day of your park visit, you’ll be able to check the availability in the MDE app for additional selections. Once you redeem one, you’ll be able to make more selections, as previously done.

For Lightning Lane Single Pass, this will still work the same way as it is currently, but you’ll be able to purchase it and plan in advance.

As for when guests can purchase the Lightning Lane passes and make their pre-arrival selections:

🔹 Guests staying at Disney Resorts will be able to start making selections 7 days prior to their arrival date, starting at 7am EST

🔹 All other guests not staying at a Disney resort, as well as those with date based tickets will be able to start making selections 3 days prior to their arrival date, starting at 7am EST
