DONATE NOW: The Yacht Angelito is an iconic and historic member of the Galapagos tourism world, and they need your help! The Angelito II was purchased earlier this year, but it's delivery to Ecuador was delayed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Now, the ship has arrived and the Ecuadorian government is reneging on their agreement to allow the import taxes to be paid in installments over two years. Instead, they're demanding payment in full, PLUS a $1,000 PER DAY impound fee. If the import taxes aren't paid in full ASAP, the government will permanently seize the Angelito II and leave the Yacht Angelito on the hook for all the expenses.
