The first flight of Dassault Falcon 6X

The first flight of the new business jet took place in Bordeaux-Mérignac, France, on March 10, 2021.

It's a new player in the Ultra Long Range class of business jets and an absolutely unique model. Let's see why:

It is the most spacious aircraft in its class. The height of the cabin is 1.98 m, and the width is 2.58 m. As for the length of the cabin, it is 12.3 meters, which can accommodate up to 16 passengers in three separate zones.

The designers have implemented a multi-optional interior lighting system for more comfortable time zone changes. In the kitchen area, specifically in the ceiling, there is a porthole of natural lighting - this is the first of its kind solution to the problem of lighting in the interior areas.

The Falcon 6X can land at very low speeds (up to 109 knots). It allows the aircraft to operate at airports with a short runway.

The company strived to make the most comfortable, technologically advanced, and safe business jet with a flight range of more than 10,000 km, and they certainly succeeded.

Can supersonic aircraft go mainstream?

Boom Supersonic company and its investors are sure so.

The company recently announced a strategic investment from American Express Ventures. These funds will be used for further development of Boom's flagship product, the Overture supersonic airliner.

Airplanes that could fly over the Atlantic in 3 hours already existed, but the tickets were too expensive, and the liners themselves were difficult to manufacture. Boom Supersonic is working to revive the supersonic travel industry and is making good headway. The launch of Overture is scheduled for 2025, and commercial flights for 2029.

Does Overture differ from its legendary forerunner Concorde? Yes. For example, the Overture fuselage has a capacity of 55 passengers while the capacity of the Concorde was designed for 100 passenger seats. Boom chose this configuration as more typical for a business class cabin.

Overture promises to be quieter on takeoff due to the absence of afterburners, and the carbon fiber composite fuselage is lighter and more resistant to high temperatures. Besides, some of the parts will be 3D printed, which will reduce costs and speed up production. The company has not forgotten about the environment - Overture will fly on alternative fuels.

Last October, Boom Supersonic introduced the XB-1, a test model of a supersonic aircraft. The XB-1's maiden flight will be 100% carbon-free and is scheduled to take place this year in Mojave, California.

In 1950, in Brazil, São Jose dos Campos, the government invested in the Aeronautical Research Center. Later, in 1962, one of the graduates Ozires Silva developed the Bandeirante aircraft project, which received enormous recognition throughout the country. It became so popular that the Brazilian government decided to open a factory for its serial production. That is how Embraer was born✈️

▪️For a long time, Embraer has been producing civilian and military aircraft under state leadership. However, in the early 1990s, the company faced a severe financial crisis, leading to privatization by domestic and foreign investors.

▪️The company started the production of regional jet aircraft for up to 50 people. At the same time, they produced the first corporate business jet, the Legacy 600.

▪️The Legacy 600 has been in service since the early 2001s and has rapidly gained popularity. The Legacy concept has been transformed into a separate business corporation, Embraer Executive Jets, which officially opened in 2002.

▪️At that time, Embraer competed with Cessna and Hawker Beechcraft, developing the Phenom 100 series models and the enlarged Phenom 300 in the air taxi concept. Besides, in the medium-sized aircraft sector, the Legacy 450 and Legacy 500 development has begun, and in the large jets sector - the Lineage 1000, created based on the Embraer E-190.

▪️Thus, Embraer has become one of the leaders in the global aircraft manufacturing market. Today the company has production facilities in Brazil, China, the United States, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Portugal.

▪️Today, Embraer competes primarily with the Canadian company Bombardier, which, along with Embraer, claims to be the third-largest aircraft manufacturer after Airbus and Boeing.

Cirrus Vision is the newest rider in the industry, boldly changing the rules! Why? Read below👇🏻

➤This is the most affordable four-seat turbojet in its class, starting at $ 1.96 million.

➤A business jet is equipped with a Safe Return and CAPS system - a must-have total safety solution in general aviation.
Safe Return assumes control of the aircraft and transforms the Vision Jet into an autonomous vehicle that navigates to the nearest suitable airport for landing, communicates with air traffic control, lands, and brings the aircraft safely to a complete stop, allowing passengers to exit the aircraft.

➤The cost of a flight hour for the owner (operation cost per hour) is $662. For comparison, the cost of Cessna Mustang is 1015 USD per flight hour.

➤With all this, the aircraft is capable of covering a distance of 1850 km, and when the ground speed decreases from 555 km / h to 440 km / h, the possible flight distance increases to 2200 km.

➤ The aircraft is certified for Single Pilot Operations, which also reduces rental or operating costs.

Cirrus Vision is a perfect choice for frequent, very short, and short regional flights, for example within the European Union.

As for comfort, the cabin is designed with 5 seats with a ceiling height of 1.24 meters and a cabin width of 1.56.

Business Jets will be happy to assist you in considering purchasing or fractional ownership of this private jet.

All good things come to an end, and this time we are talking about the release of the Learjet by Bombardier. To some extent, this business jet model has become an icon of its class in the worldwide market.

According to Reuters, Learjet is 42% of the nearly 5,000 currently operated business jets sold by Bombardier. We recall that the Canadian company Bombardier Aerospace acquired the American LearJet in 1990.

Bombardier CEO Eric Martel said in an interview that the decision to discontinue production after nearly 60 years of history was very difficult: “The legendary Learjet has had a significant impact on business aviation. But given the number of new entrants in this segment and the challenging market dynamics, we need to focus our future efforts on our more profitable aircraft families: the Global and Challenger. ”

Along with the completion of production, the company is laying off 1,600 employees who were involved in the Learjet line. Bombardier is struggling to meet its debt, and the Learjet line has lost ground in 2020, delighting the world with only 11 aircraft, up from 112 in 2001.

Nevertheless, Bombardier emphasizes that they will continue to support Learjet customers - the LearJet 75 Liberty has become the latest aircraft in the production line, which we will tell you about.

One of the most expensive private jets in the world is the Airbus A380, owned by the Prince of Saudi Arabia. The height of the ship is 25 meters, and the length is slightly over 72 meters.

Inside this plane, there are five bedrooms with bathrooms, 20 cabins for guests, a dining room for 14 people, a spa complex that includes a hammam and a sauna with a hot tub, as well as a gym and even a garage for cars.

Surprised? And what can you say if there is also a hawk room, a concert hall and even a stable on the plane?

All these rooms, cabins, and halls, of course, are decorated in the best possible way - everything as befits a self-respecting prince.

This exclusive aircraft costs just over $500 million and is rightfully the most unusual of its kind.

Five facts about the Boeing Company✈️

One of the most famous and influential companies in the world of aircraft construction is without a doubt the Boeing Company. But not everyone knows that:

1. The first aircraft of the company was the Boeing Model 1 - it was a wooden aircraft with a linen skin. Now, few would dare to fly on such a unit, but the owner of the company, Mr. Boeing, was not afraid. The fact is that the pilot was late for the first test flight, so Boeing, losing patience, lifted the plane into the air itself.

2. Boeing was the first to officially use the work of flight attendants. Initially, these were female doctors who could provide first aid if necessary. Fun fact: all the candidates were weighed before hiring - the girls should not weigh more than 52kg.

3. There is an opinion that in the post-war period, when the demand for aircraft fell, Boeing survived due to the production of boats and even furniture. Not without the personal investment of the founder.

4. Among other things, in 1961, the company took up the space program - it was Boeing who designed the stages of launch vehicles as part of the Apollo project.

5. And here's another: according to some sources, every second there are more than a thousand 737 Boeing in the sky, and every 5 seconds one such aircraft comes in for a landing or takes off.

World speed record in around-the-world flight on a business jet

When it comes to records, it is most often about # Gulfstream😉 The G650ER has become legendary in the business aviation world, it continues to set new speed records and can fly long distances faster than others.

The technical characteristics of this aircraft have made him the best for the round-the-world flight.

From 9 to 11 July 2019, Action Aviation Chairman Captain Hamish Harding and Colonel Terry Wirths, astronaut, former commander of the International Space Station and the United States Air Force test pilot, broke the world speed record for a round-the-world flight across both poles in a Qatar Executive Gulfstream G650ER.

The flight was named “One More Orbit” (one more orbit). The goal was not only to break the record but also to remind people of the achievements of the Apollo mission. Even the departure time was the same - July 9, 2019, at 9:32 am.

“One More Orbit is much more than just a world record: it is an adventure unlike any other. Celebrating Apollo’s 50th and Magellan’s 500th anniversaries,” says Virts. “we did something that had never been done before, with an amazing and engaging international crew.”

How does the weather affect your flight?

Constant monitoring of weather conditions is a significant part of each flight. It helps to avoid unexpected situations during your flight or change the departure date to avoid risks.

How exactly do these or those weather conditions affect the flight? Read below ↓

🌫 Fog

All aircraft, including private ones, are prone to fog due to poor visibility resulting in flight delays. Most of the delays occur on the ground during the takeoff. And for a safe landing, many ships are equipped with autopilots that can land in zero visibility conditions. During bad weather, a private flight is a winning option. You can safely change the time or date of departure.

❄️ Snowfall and ice

Private jets are well designed to withstand high freezing temperatures and snow. Temperature - 80 ℃ or -100 ℃ is not an obstacle for a business jet. Therefore, problems in snow or ice do not occur in the air but on the ground. Snow and ice on the runway and taxiway can be a hazard for takeoff. The airport is obliged to clear the strip well for safety. Private jets are less prone to heavy snowfall than airline flights because they can use smaller airports, where snow removal and ice removal can often be faster than at larger airports.

⚡️Thunderstorm

Many people think that lightning strikes during a thunderstorm are dangerous. Specifically, that lightning will strike and damage the plane. Every plane you have flown at least once has been struck by lightning and continues to fly. It is because modern aircraft are designed in such a way that the places where lightning usually strikes (tails and wingtips) are reinforced and evenly distribute the charge from a lightning strike. Taking off during a thunderstorm is much more dangerous. A thunderstorm is more likely to delay your takeoff or landing than it will cause turbulence at cruising altitude or make it difficult for the aircraft to operate while climbing or descending.

How to choose a suitable business jet? ✈

Finding a private jet is an individual thing. It all depends on personal preference, flight distance, and amount of luggage.

Maybe you want an airplane with a unique design, or you have a short flight but would still prefer a large business jet with a flight attendant. It all depends on your desire.

Size and characteristics are crucial when choosing a business jet. Suppose you have six passengers and you need an airplane of suitable capacity. But what kind of passengers? Let's say you are flying with a big client and you know that he is tall. In this case, you can consider an aircraft with a higher cabin height, which will allow moving with comfort.

Airplane interior is another aspect worth paying attention to. Because two aircraft of the same model can be of different designs. One of the jets can be equipped with the latest technology and gadgets, while the other is made in the original design. Which is preferable - you choose🤗

There is no aircraft dedicated to a specific event or occasion. That's why individual preferences and details are critical. With Business Jets, your flight will be comfortable and reliable, considering all your personal needs.

Where do pilots of business aviation rest and sleep? 💤

During long-distance flights, rest is required not only for passengers but also for pilots. Each ultra-long-range business jet has dedicated areas for pilots to relax. Like . there is a special closed compartment for the pilots in the forward section of the aircraft near the flight deck. The compartment contains a comfortable seat that folds out horizontally, a table, a monitor, and an iPhone device. It serves as a satellite phone and controls temperature, entertainment equipment, adjust lighting, and open/close window shades.

First supersonic biofuel aircraft

Aerion Supersonic is developing the Aerion AS2 business jet, which will be the first supersonic aircraft to use biofuel. The business jet will use synthetic fuels, and it will reduce CO2 emissions by as much as 40%.

→ The cruising speed is 1610 km / h. 70% better than most business jets on the market.
→ The first tests and production are planned for 2023.
→ The length will be 52 m, height - 6.7 m, wingspan - 18.6 meters.
→ The price of the aircraft is $120 million.

Aeron Supersonic is not the one company to produce faster-than-sound aircraft. Spike Aerospace, Boom Supersonic, and Lockheed Martin are actively developing supersonic aircraft as well.

According to analysts' forecasts, by 2025, supersonic aircraft will carry 13 million people a year🤔

It has been 18 years since the legendary supersonic Concorde was taken out of service, and we are now seeing a renaissance in the history of faster-than-sound aircraft. Great news because such flights will help us save the most important thing - time.

14/01/2021

The Gulfstream Aerospace history began back in 1958, when Grumman Aircraft Engineering Co., a military aircraft company, developed a business jet with two turboprop engines - the Grumman Gulfstream I (GI). The aircraft had great success. In a short time were sold 200 copies of the aircraft. It was a good reason to develop the Grumman Gulfstream II or GII.

◽️Grumman decided to separate military and civil aircraft production, so in 1966 Gulfstream civil aircraft production was based in Georgia, Savannah. The factory was opened officially in 1967, and in a few years, the company's staff grew from 100 people to 1,700. The company successfully produced the Gulfstream II until 1977. A year later, the factory in Savannah was sold to American Jet Industries, led by entrepreneur Allen Paulson. Paulson became president of the company and renamed it Gulfstream American. He started to develop Gulfstream III, a new aircraft designed to achieve greater range and speed than the GII.

◽️In December 1979, the GIII made its first flight. It was the first business jet of its kind to fly over both poles of the globe.

◽️By 1982, the company already employed 2,500 people. Gulfstream American was actively expanding so it was decided to rename the company to Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. In 1985, Chrysler Corp. acquired Gulfstream for $ 637 million, and the company first appeared on the Fortune 500 at number 417 that same year.

◽️However, in 1989 Paulson bought the company back by merging with Forstmann Little & Co. - a private investment firm.

◽️Today, Gulfstream employs more than 11,500 people in 12 major cities. It continues to develop and improve its business jets, increasing the company's revenues every year. In 2019, the company's sales grew by almost 54% to $ 11.7 billion, and the order book was 13.3 billion.
