The first flight of Dassault Falcon 6X

The first flight of the new business jet took place in Bordeaux-Mérignac, France, on March 10, 2021.

It's a new player in the Ultra Long Range class of business jets and an absolutely unique model. Let's see why:

It is the most spacious aircraft in its class. The height of the cabin is 1.98 m, and the width is 2.58 m. As for the length of the cabin, it is 12.3 meters, which can accommodate up to 16 passengers in three separate zones.

Can supersonic aircraft go mainstream?

Boom Supersonic company and its investors are sure so.

The company recently announced a strategic investment from American Express Ventures. These funds will be used for further development of Boom's flagship product, the Overture supersonic airliner.

Airplanes that could fly over the Atlantic in 3 hours already existed, but the tickets were too expensive, and the liners themselves were difficult to manufacture. Boom Supersonic is working to revive the supersonic travel industry and is making good headway. The launch of Overture is scheduled for 2025, and commercial flights for 2029.

Does Overture differ from its legendary forerunner Concorde? Yes. For example, the Overture fuselage has a capacity of 55 passengers while the capacity of the Concorde was designed for 100 passenger seats. Boom chose this configuration as more typical for a business class cabin.

Overture promises to be quieter on takeoff due to the absence of afterburners, and the carbon fiber composite fuselage is lighter and more resistant to high temperatures. Besides, some of the parts will be 3D printed, which will reduce costs and speed up production. The company has not forgotten about the environment - Overture will fly on alternative fuels.

One of the most famous and influential companies in the world of aircraft construction is without a doubt the Boeing Company. But not everyone knows that:

1. The first aircraft of the company was the Boeing Model 1 - it was a wooden aircraft with a linen skin. Now, few would dare to fly on such a unit, but the owner of the company, Mr. Boeing, was not afraid. The fact is that the pilot was late for the first test flight, so Boeing, losing patience, lifted the plane into the air itself.

World speed record in around-the-world flight on a business jet

First supersonic biofuel aircraft

The Gulfstream Aerospace history began back in 1958, when Grumman Aircraft Engineering Co., a military aircraft company, developed a business jet with two turboprop engines - the Grumman Gulfstream I (GI). The aircraft had great success. In a short time were sold 200 copies of the aircraft. It was a good reason to develop the Grumman Gulfstream II or GII.

◽️Grumman decided to separate military and civil aircraft production, so in 1966 Gulfstream civil aircraft production was based in Georgia, Savannah. The factory was opened officially in 1967, and in a few years, the company's staff grew from 100 people to 1,700. The company successfully produced the Gulfstream II until 1977. Categories of business jets. Part 1

There are 7 categories of private jets, each with a different size,
maximum cruising speed, passenger capacity, comfort and other characteristics. Let's start with the smallest ones:

✈️Turboprop

These are small aircraft powered by turboprop engines with a top speed of 400 km / h. They are designed for short distances of 750 - 1250 km. Inside can accommodate from 4 to 7 passengers, mostly without the ability to stand at full height. These aircraft are used for short flights of no more than two hours. The advantage of such aircraft is its economy and the ability to use it in small airports.

✈️Light Jet

Light Jet is a small jet aircraft that can accommodate 4 to 6 passengers. The maximum flight speed is 600-700 km / h, and in 1-2.5 hours, such a business jet can cover a distance of no more than 2100 km.

✈️Super Light Jet

The next category of business jets is a super-light jet aircraft designed for short- to medium-range flights. These are comfortable vessels, as they combine economic affordability, speed, and comfort. Optimal for 3-4 hour flights with a passenger capacity of 6 to 8-9 people.
