Kasprowy i Jaworzyna
When planning a ski trip, do you look for slopes that will challenge you? These three locations will enthral even the most adventurous skier:
🎿 Zakopane - Kasprowy Wierch: Goryczkowa. It is the steepest slope in Poland, and skiers look forward to it opening every winter season. The slope has no artificial snowmaking system, which means that it can only be opened once a decent snow cover has formed. The upper section is the steepest, with a maximum gradient of 60%.
🎿 Zakopane - Kasprowy Wierch: Gąsienicowa. This route is set on the north-eastern slope in Kocioł Gąsienicowy and is also the steepest on its upper slope. Its maximum gradient is 50%.
🎿 Jaworzyna Krynicka: Route 5 FIS. Thanks to its FIS homologation, athletes often use it for training, and competitions are also held on it. This is facilitated by the profile of the route, which is quite wide and evenly sloped throughout. It is held in awe by many skiers, which is why it is practically never crowded.
Remember that skiing requires not only equipment and fitness but, above all, the right experience and skills! Whatever your level, always remember to stay safe. ❄️🏔️
Lipowiec
In the stunning western part of the Tenczyn Ridge, high on Castle Mountain🏰, stands Lipowiec Castle, which dates back to the Middle Ages. The castle tower offers outstanding views of the areas surrounding Zator and Oświęcim. In good weather, even the distant Beskidy Mountains can be seen.
The ground floor of this fortress held, among others, a refectory, kitchen, larder, and coach house. The first floor housed the priests’ rooms, hospital and chapel, and the second floor had prison cells. Mostly delinquent clergymen from the Kraków diocese were detained here. The clergy were not subject to secular courts, so their own state courts locked them up in this tower.
Get to know the extensive history and wind down in beautiful surroundings by visiting this amazing castle!
Muzeum Małopolski Zachodniej w Wygiełzowie
The Museum of Western Małopolska has as many as 5 hectares of land dotted with amazing wooden buildings that will transport you back in time. The 17th-century church⛪, where services are still held, and the picturesque 18th-century manor house, where concerts can frequently be enjoyed, are only two highlights of many.
Among the exhibits, you will find everyday equipment, workshops of folk artisans and a reconstructed school classroom.

The Rolling Stock Open-Air Museum in Chabówka🚂 was established on the site of a former steam locomotive depot and is famous for having one of the most interesting collections of exhibits related to the history of railways in Poland. The exhibition showcases steam locomotives, electric and diesel locomotives, carriages, ploughs, cranes and other types of special rolling stock.
This open-air museum is different from other museums because you can also... ride in the exhibits. Such journeys are incredibly exciting both on board the trains and during stops at individual stations 🚆
Sounds like a great idea for an interesting adventure, doesn’t it?

The Low Beskids is where you will find tranquillity, beautiful views and...unparalleled Lemko cuisine🍲🍳🥗.
The basic ingredients used in traditional Lemko cuisine are rye flour and oatmeal, flaxseed, linseed oil, buckwheat, legumes, cabbage, potatoes, onion and seasonal fruit.
In the Lemko region, you will find several restaurants that still serve traditional dishes made by this ethnic group. And if you are wondering what they make that is worth trying: for breakfast, zamiszku and mastyła, which both have the consistency of a pudding, but are not a sweet dish, but a savoury one. As an appetiser – homiłki, which are small balls of curd and dried mint. If you like soups, try kisełyci, which is a sourdough soup made from wholemeal flour. For the main course, it's worth trying kiszeniaki and tertianyky. The first is baked stuffed cabbage rolls with buckwheat and mushrooms. The second – potato pancakes slow-baked on a cabbage leaf.
There is a lot to be said about Lemko cuisine, but it's best to go to Wysowa-Zdrój, Ropa or Regietów and taste these delicious dishes for yourself.
