One of the most unique and authentic Cape Town experiences (and one of my all time favourites) is a trip out to Boulders Beach to spend some time watching and swimming with these fascinating birds, The African Penguin (also known as Jackass Penguins due to their donkey-like bray). Surrounded by these massive boulders, this beautiful small stretch of beach forms a protected cove for humans and penguins alike to swim, paddle, explore, waddle, soak in some sunshine and forget about life for a while. 🐧
