This weekend in Venice, the 17-day Carnevale kicked off with the Venetian Festival On The Water, a feast celebration dedicated to the citizens and guests of the lagoon city.

Guests line the Grand Canal to watch the parade of boats. Once the parade reaches the Rio di Cannaregio, the costumed passengers disembark to parade through the streets in a blaze of color!

Travelers from the US will need to apply online for a Visit Visa (VIVIS), and provide a valid passport, proof of residency, purpose of travel, outbound transportation proof, and financial capability.
