🇬🇧 The Villány Rozé Festival 2022 will take place from 8-9 July 2022 in Villány, where everything will be covered in pink. There will be concerts, performers, children's activities and active programs. One of the highlights of the event will be the Cross-border Wine Land - a skill tasting of Hungarian and Croatian wines with valuable prizes. Together we will promote the Land of Wine and there will be also an opportunity to taste Hungarian and Croatian wines.

🇭🇺 A Villányi Rozé Fesztivál 2022. július 8-9 között kerül megrendezésre Villányban, ahol minden rózsaszínbe borul. Koncertek, fellépők, gyerek-, és aktív programok várják a vendégeket. Az esemény egyik kiemelt programja a Határokon átívelő borkaland - Magyar és horvát borok ügyességi kóstolója értékes nyereményekkel. Együtt promotáljuk Baranya kínálatát, magyar és horvát borok kóstolására is lesz lehetőség.

Az esemény a „Wine Tour Across Borders” HUHR/1901/2.1.3/0095 számú projekt támogatásából valósul meg.

🇬🇧 INTERNATIONAL wine competition in the Villány wine region, as the first Franc du Monde is here!
It is with great pride that the FIRST cabernet franc world competition was hosted by the Villány wine region. A total of 101 samples were submitted from 8 countries.
The wines were judged by prestigious international judges, with the assistance of two Master of Wine.
The conference was supported by the Wine Region "Wine Tour Across Borders" project HUHR/1901/2.1.3/0095.

🇬🇧 Šokačka kuća in Topolje is the name of the original farm in the heart of the Baranja Danube village of Topolje, in which the material and spiritual culture of the local Šokac population is presented in site, at the place where it originated.

🇬🇧 Ceramic workshop Asztalos is located in the region of Baranja in the village of Suza and is engaged in the production of unique ceramic objects with an emphasis on traditional Baranja pottery made on a potter's wheel. The Asztalos ceramics workshop offers all those interested the opportunity to have a pleasant and useful time with friends in the authentic ambience of a hundred-year-old mill, creating something of their own and original.

🇬🇧 The Villány wine region, taking advantage of the opportunities offered by the project "Wine Tour Across Borders" HUHR/1901/2.1.3/0095, organised a study tour to Austria with 30 participants together with Croatian partners. The enthusiastic team of the study tour first visited wineries in Krems and Kamptal, and then visited Austria's top wine region Wachau. The primary objective of the study tour was to map good practices in Austrian wine tourism and to learn about the production and processing technologies of the leading varieties of wine regions. The two-day tour, rich in professional programmes, was the first joint Croatian-Hungarian trip for the project.

A tanulmányút lelkes csapata kremsi és kamptali pincészeteket látogattak meg elsőként, majd Ausztria top borvidéke, Wachau is górcső alá került. A tanulmányút elsődleges célja, az osztrák borturizmus jó gyakorlatának feltérképezése, valamint a borvidékek vezető fajtáinak termelés és feldolgozás technológiájának a megismerése volt. A szakmai programokban gazdag két napos túra az első közös horvát-magyar utazása volt a pályázati projektnek.

🇬🇧 At the Vince EXTRA event in Villány Wine Wegion we actively participated in the programmes organised by the wineries to ensure a rich harvest.
The Mokos Winery enriched St. Vincent's Day programme with wine team competitions, Jackfall Winery had a bingo game on table while Vylyan Winery greated us with folk music and a wine bottle hunt.

🇬🇧 On the 22th of January is St. Vincen't Day. Among wine-makers they have this tradition to try to predict the quality of the wine the following year from the weather of the fest-day of St Vincent of Saragossa. If the ice melts on this day, there is going to be a good yield. They taste the new-wine, walking form cellars to cellars, and pray for God’s blessing for the fields.

🇬🇧 Make the nearby town of Donji Miholjac your next destination and visit the castle in the city center. One of the youngest Croatian castles was built in 1905 in the English Neo-Gothic style by the counts Mailath, most likely to impress the Austro-Hungarian Emperor and Croatian king Francis Joseph during an official visit. 🏰

🇬🇧 Franc & Franc 2021 International Conference and Tasting Day was held last weekend in Villány with a big success. On Friday, the day of the Conference, two Master of Wine, Demetri Walters MW and Peter McCombie MW, alongside renowned national experts enriched the programme with their presentations. The Tasting Day on saturday featured more than 50 different Villány cabernet francs, so our guests were treated with a real wine experience.

🇭🇺 Nagy sikerrel zárult a Franc & Franc 2021 Nemzetközi Fórum és Kóstolónap múlt hétvégén. Pénteken, a fórum napján a neves, hazai szakértők mellett két Master of Wine is, Demetri Walters MW és Peter McCombie MW előadásukkal színesítették a programot. A szombati kóstolónapon több mint 50 féle villányi cabernet franc szerepelt a kínálatban, ezért vendégeink igazi borélménnyel gazdagodhattak.

🇬🇧 Ethno village Bocanjevci is located in the area known as Valpovština, near the town of Valpovo. You can visit the village in horse-drawn carriages and visit two ethno houses "Apin dvor" and "Stepina kuća" with a tasting of Slavonian gastronomic delicacies, as well as displays of old costumes. Once a year there is a Local Cuisine Festival and a folklore festival called "Bocanjevci alaj ste milina".

🇭🇺 A bocanjevci nemzetiségi falu Valpovština területen található, Valpovo város közelében. A faluban lehetőség van lovaskocsival körbenézni, valamint két nemzetiségi házat meglátogatni az "Apin dvor"-t és a "Stepina kuća"-t, ahol szláv gasztronómiai finomságokat lehet kóstolni, mellette pedig régi népviseleteket mutatnak be. Évente egyszer megrendezik a helyi konyha fesztiválját, és a "Bocanjevci alaj ste milina" elnevezésű folklórfesztivált is.

🇭🇷 Etno selo Bocanjevci - Ovo etno selo nalazi se u kraju poznatom pod nazivom Valpovština, u okolici grada Valpova. Konjskim zapregama možete obići selo te posjetiti dvije etno kuće „Apin dvor“ i „Stepina kuća“ uz degustaciju slavonskih gastronomskih delicija, ali i prikaze starih običaja. U selu djeluju KUD Šokadija te muška pjevačka skupina „Pajdaši“, dok se jednom godišnje održava Gastro fest i smotra folklora pod nazivom „Bocanjevci alaj ste milina“. Malo je poznato da je Sokol iz kultnog filma Fabijana Šovagovića „Sokol ga nije volio“ bio konj Gavran iz Bocanjevaca.

🇬🇧 Erdut Tower is located on a hill above the Danube. In medieval Erdut, it played the role of a defensive tower. Today, the ruins of the two towers and the wall remain, with the round tower being the best preserved. The area below the Erdut Tower offers one of the most beautiful views of the Danube, which can compete only with the view from the monument in Batina, in Baranja.

🇭🇺 Erdőd vára egy Duna fölötti dombon található, amely a középkori Erdődben védelmi torony szerepét töltötte be. Mára a két torony és a fal romjai maradtak meg, melyek közül a kerek torony maradt meg a legjobban. Az Erdőd vára alatti területről az egyik legszebb kilátás nyílik a Dunára, amely csak a baranyai Batina emlékművéről nyíló kilátással vetekedhet.

🇭🇷 Erdutska kula - Nalazi se na uzvišenju iznad Dunava. U srednjovjekovnom Erdutu imala je ulogu obrambene kule. Danas su preostale ruševine dviju kula i zida, s time da je okrugla kula najbolje sačuvana. S prostora ispod Erdutske kule pruža se jedan od najljepših pogleda na Dunav kojem može konkurirati samo vidik sa spomenika u Batini, u Baranji.
