A wee milestone today.. all of a sudden 300 Airbnb reviews. A lot of happy nights had, memories made, SO much laundry lol, much late night ironing, 300 hand-written cards, and, and countless fresh bouquets.

As I stood stacking firewood all of a sudden there was splashing behind me. A little surprised I spun around. Who could be wading through the water? There was no one there, at first. Until I realised my mysterious company was a fish. A big fish. 🐟 Flapping and zipping its way upstream over the gravel and pebbles. I was just a fleeting moment before the quicksilver creature found the deeper, darker shaded waters and it carried on with its beautiful struggle. We see minnows often in the Alton Burn but it's a rare privilege to catch the larger fish passing through. Salmon I imagine, returning to spawn. I wished it good luck for the journey. I hope that today you're also enjoying the moment that is Autumn

We finally visited Newmilns Snow & Sports Complex just 5 minutes away from the Airstream and it was hilarious! A bargain at £9 for tubing and it's run by a charity. Building a dream

When we first arrived here at Riverwood Farm, we wanted to bring a new lease of life to this lovely woodland smallholding. To provide a place for visitors to stay and relish the fresh air and tranquility. Something special. Why not an Airstream, we thought? Well, apart from the fact that they’re not found in the wild, here in the UK. But find one we did.

For the last two years we’ve been taking apart this 1978 beauty and re-building it rivet by rivet into an amazing tiny house, unlike anything else in Scotland or the rest of the UK. As we continue this process we want to share and connect with anyone interested in Airstream restorations, and anyone who would like to come and experience an escape in this amazing Airstream in its secret woodland glade.
