3. Explore the nearby castles and cairns. Now that the peak holiday season is over, you might even have them to yourself. And the roads are quieter if you choose one a bit of a drive away.
4. The CatStrand has a packed programme of events all year round. It’s just a few doors down from both holiday cottages. There's lots of live music and entertainment planned.
5. Those views! The loch is beautiful all year round. Whether you enjoy fishing, swimming, water sports, photography - or simply stop and enjoy the views as drive or cycle past.

If you’re staying at Skerrow and Stroan, take a trip over to The Mull of Galloway. It’s a beautiful drive and the lighthouse is in a stunning location with the most amazing views!

Don't miss out on your chance to climb the 115 steps to the top of the Mull of Galloway lighthouse this year!

The Mull of Galloway exhibition is open daily until 3rd November, but if you want to climb the lighthouse tower, it is now only open at weekends until the October school holidays when it will be open daily again from 14 Oct – 3 Nov. After that it will all be closed for the winter until March 2025.
