Hi friends! We are nearing the end of 2024 and I am very close to a personal sales goal as a travel agent. My goal is within reach but it will take some hard work, a bit of luck, and YOU for me to reach it! If you have travel to plan for 2024-2026, please reach out to me! Itâs a great time to lock in those Spring Break plans! Find my page here đđť Angie Hough with Hiatt Magical Vacations
Hereâs some Q and Aâs that I get asked often:
đ What types of vacations do you book? I specialize in international destinations, cruises, family travel, couples getaways, and all inclusive resorts!
đ°Do you charge fees to plan travel? In most cases, no! My planning is complimentary and I am paid from hotels/resorts/suppliers AFTER you travel. Since I usually donât charge fees, I also donât want to work for free. I am protective of my time and my destination knowledge and reserve it for clients who book through me.
âšď¸ What information do you need to give me a quote? I like to schedule a planning call to learn about the trip you want to take and how I can help. Iâll need to know things like dates, location(s), whoâs traveling and ages of kids (if applicable), goals of the trip/things you want to do (relaxation, adventure, exploring, etc), type of accommodations you prefer, if flights are needed, and your overall budget! Just to name a few!
đľ What if we donât know our budget? Well, money doesnât grow on trees. Everyone has a budgetâŚ.and you SHOULD have one too! Travel agents need this info so we donât try to propose something thatâs above what youâre wanting to spend. Before reaching out to an agent, start by looking into the flight cost for the dates you want. Know what it costs just to fly your family to the destination and figure out how much of the budget the flights will be! Clients are often shocked at the cost of airfare these days!
𧳠Why should I use a travel agent when I can figure it out myself? Great question!! Best answerâŚ.you can trust a professional whoâs in the industry and we save you time. Think about it like thisâŚ.who do you already trust to do things for you every day? Hair stylists, accountants, financial planners, house cleaners, plumbers/electricians/handymen, lawn care. If you use a professional for any of these services because you trust they will do something youâre not used to doing on your own (or donât know how to do), why not use a travel agent to plan your travel!?
âď¸ Your job seems so cool! Do you get to travel for free? My job is a dream come true and it takes me to incredible destinations! But sadly, I donât travel for free. Travel agents can get discounts but most of our travel opportunities are earned through our sales. If you see me on a cruise or in a fun destination, I likely got there because my sales volume awarded me the opportunity. Not only that, but unless I use points/miles, I never fly anywhere for a discount! Flights are my #1 expense as a business!
