Toilet Bowl Row is located by the house on bayside. It is a row of decorated toilet seats that people have decorated and placed in the ocean. This tradition has become a fun spot for boaters to come and see the creative seats that people have created and displayed.

What is more comfortable than sipping coffee on Adirondack chairs? Cushions on Adirondack chairs! Thank you to my students for gifting me these little pieces of heaven for all of us to enjoy.

Pilot House is where Julio and I had our celebration lunch after closing on Key Largo Margo. Last night, all 5 of us went to dinner there. The ambiance is very “keyslike.” On Saturday night, they have live music. We sat outside on the deck right next to the water and with a relaxing view of the marina and boats. They give fish food to our kids upon arrival so they had a great time feeding the fish from our table while we waited for the food. The kids menu is also expansive but inexpensive. The adult menu also has a lot of options. I had shrimp fajitas (which were so yummy) and my husband and oldest had the carnitas bowl. The calamari and shrimp appetizer is also a hit with our family.

Whale Harbour Seafood Buffet was truly spectacular and so easy and fun with the kids. The food and view/location didn’t disappoint. There is so much to choose from and it’s fairly reasonable, especially for kids under 12. Adult price is $40 per person and $20 for children under 12.

C&C pizza 🍕 was a new favorite pizza spot (not just in Key Largo) but from Miami to Key Largo. The wood fired pizza was spectacular and the ambiance was great! The kids loved sitting right next to the pizza maker and watching him flip the dough in the air. They also have happy hour, where you get free wine or beer with a $10 cheese pizza or any other pie.

Breakfast at High Tide was great. They have the most amazing homemade grilled biscuits. We had the veggie skillet and the our little ones had chocolate chip Mickey pancakes. Everyone was so friendly and it’s definitely very family oriented.

Manatee Season is here and we spotted our firsts of the season at Key Largo Fisheries. At Key Largo Fisheries, there is a cooler at the dock with free bags of fish to feed the sharks. It’s always so much fun to feed them but today, we got detoured by the manatee. 🦈 🐟

Here’s a fun fact you might not know: There’s a Northernmost Point buoy in Angle Inlet, Minnesota (of the “contiguous” 48).

I’m guessing the lines for the Northernmost Point never get as long as they do for the Southernmost Point buoy!

It could be a bucket list to visit both!

Jacob’s Aquatic Center is located at the Key Largo Community Center and very reasonable entrance prices. It is fun for all ages. It has a pirate ship with slides for little ones, an Olympic sized pool, and diving boards of 3 different sizes for older children. They also have great picnic tables under the shade with a snack bar that sells ice cream, chips, drinks and chicken fingers at very reasonable prices. It’s a fun day outing for the entire family.

Sweet Savannah’s is such a quaint local spot that is worth visiting if you’re in Marathon and in the mood for a local sweet treat. They have ice creams galore, cupcakes, pies, cake slices, an adorable gift shop and a very chic and cute sitting area (which also has toys and vintage arcade games for the kids to enjoy after their ice cream). 🍨 🍦 🧁

Mrs. Mac’s Pies are our favorite local spot for key lime pie but grandma shared with us her recipe this week and it was yum!

Mix:
1/2 cup of key lime juice
1 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
4 egg yolks

Add blended mix to Keebler graham cracker pie crust.

Preheat oven to 350 and bake for 15 minutes.

Top with your favorite cool whip or whip cream.
