Mini kitchen makeover this week! Removed old big oven which was never used, and big fridge which took up so much space....

Mini kitchen makeover this week! Removed old big oven which was never used, and big fridge which took up so much space. Both appliances now have new homes - the French have such a good culture of reusing things. We have instead popped in some really useful appliances - ninja foodie, convection microwave and induction hot plates. The new fridge has almost the same capacity as the old one and the whole space feels lighter and brighter. We painted the cupboards last year. I might make some curtains to hide the bin soon!

A little cottage in the heart of the Nievre. Enjoy a holiday at your own pace while experiencing a rural French lifestyle. Walk in the morning to buy your baguettes, enjoy cheese and charcuterie from the markets and visit extraordinary chateaus, beautiful vistas and forested countryside just a couple of hours from Paris.

Our cottage in Varzy sleeps 6 people comfortably in beds, and can even accommodate a few more with your own sleeping bags. Three bedrooms (a fourth is planned for 2021), three showers, three toilets, a small kitchen, sitting room and dining area as well as a very large renovated attic space with original exposed beams lends itself to all sorts of applications. Both the attic and the sitting room have fold out beds meaning you could actually sleep 10 in this cottage.

The town of Varzy is quiet and is located close to many interesting attractions catering for all tastes. Spend a week or more of your vacation visiting historic monuments, experiencing gastronomic delights or discovering majestic country vistas. Our guidebook provides all you need to plan an interesting holiday, no matter what your interests.
