Floating in a hot air balloon is just that - a Gentle Journey through the sky. Gentle Journeys operates throughout SW Michigan, from Grand Rapids to Battle Creek and Kalamazoo. We offer private rides for 2, 3, or 4 people and also offer extra flying capacity to nearby flying partners.

I was ‘Graced’ today, literally! Received two heartwarming FB messages from two ‘Graces’!

Staying up a little longer as last night’s balloon glow was finishing, I was approached by a family that had just arrived at the event, they weren’t able to come earlier. “Kids thought your balloon was amazing. Thanks for sticking around a few minutes longer while they gawked.”

Another Grace enjoyed our landing and pack-up, writing an entire, beautiful poem, pictured here.

It’s what we do. All of our pilot friends, families and crews help make memories - - at launch, during flight, at landings, tethers and meet & greets, etc.

You never know when something you say or do can make a difference. Think Positive. Say Positive. Do Positive. And, Never. Give. Up 🙂

Hudsonville Balloon Days

Representing the fat/non-racer (competition-type) balloons; 1st Place on the 1st Task for the second event in a row (who knows what the rest of the weekend might bring 😉). Got to take up my daughter and daughter-in-law, and two grandsons! Great post-flight celebration with Michigan Balloon Corporation!

True to form, Gentle Journeys LLC has been busy, flying our own and assisting nearby flying partners’ (Michigan Balloon Corporation, Altitude Endeavors, and Magic Clouds) passengers, often flying together, including last night’s flight over Kalamazoo’s, Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport. A great time was had by all, highlighted by a gentle, belly-laughing, basket tip over that left pilot and passengers tangled like in a game of twister.
