Wonkey Donkey Cottage is situated on the beautiful East Devon coast, surrounded by rolling hills, woodland and coastal walks in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

AVAILABILITY!

We currently have a 7 night slot available Saturday 13th August to Saturday 21st August.

There is also availability at the moment from 30th August through the autumn so again please ask. Normal weekly bookings usually start and end on Saturdays.

Our Super Dooper Luxury Wonkey Donkey holiday Cottage is available! Superbly situated above the beautiful Jurassic coastline with Sidmouth town and beach a short drive down the road, sand, pebbles, ice cream and lots of shops, cafes, restaurants and happiness everywhere!

BUT! Next door to the Wonkey Donkey (so close you can walk there) is the world famous Donkey Sanctuary where over 200 donkeys and mules live and it is free to visit and park, 365 days a year! Great fun for all the family AND they have an award winning restaurant for breakfasts (very reasonable and scrumptious) lunches and afternoon treats. You can even walk all the way through the grounds to Weston beach which can only be accessed by foot - or boat, then along the pebble beach for a hundred metres and you can follow the footpath signs all the way back through NT land to the Wonkey!

So what can the Wonkey Donkey Cottage offer?

Two double bedrooms two singles and a King size bed. All are new together with Fogarty mattresses and duvets/pillows, Egyptian cotton towels.
Lounge and dining room with 40” TV
WiFi
Modern, fully fitted kitchen, induction hob, built in oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine. (Sounds just like home but you can always eat out!).
Large modern bathroom with bath, separate shower.
No smoking in the cottage.
Travel cot and high chair available by request in advance.

One well behaved doggy welcomed by prior agreement, no extra cost. Donkey Sanctuary, welcomes dogs as do many of the pubs and restaurants in the locality.

Branscombe is the next village and beach in the eastward direction, National Trust Properties and land. In 2007 MSC Napoli was wrecked there carrying 2,300 containers from South Africa.
Then there is Beer (one of Sunday Times Best 50 beaches) Seaton, Lyme Regis, Weymouth, Chessil Beach. Going west from Wonkey there is Salcombe Regis, Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton and Exmouth. So much to do and so many places to visit!

Wonkey Donkey Cottage is located on the Stoneleigh Holiday Village site, this is a very quiet location with lots of open green areas and views of the sea here and there. If you are lucky you will hear the donkeys Honking in the distance or see one of the wild rabbits hopping around near the cottage.

Approximately 100 minutes from Westbury on Trym via M5, traffic permitting.
