⭐️ What does it mean to “Book Direct”, and what are the advantages?! ⭐️

Booking direct means that you book a vaca rental from the property owner’s personal booking website 💻 versus other rental platforms (such as AirBnb, VRBO, ect). When you book homes 🏡 through rental platforms, you pay a hefty service fee 💰(around 15% the cost of your stay!), and the property owner also pays a fee every time someone books their home 💵 (around 3%).

When you book direct, you avoid paying this service fee (yay!!) AND the property owner also makes more 💰 off of your stay (without YOU having to pay them MORE).

Most property owners also offer the same type of cancellation protection and travel insurance that rental platforms offer, so you’re still protected ✅ .

How do I book direct?? 🤔 Property owners are not permitted to provide direct booking information to guests who contact them through rental platforms, so you have to put on your detective 🕵️‍♀️ hats to find this information.

If you find 👀 a property you like, try doing a Google search of the name and location 🗺️ of the property. You can also look for clues in the listing about who owns the property and then do a search of that person or real estate company. Sometimes you can locate contact information for the owner and reach out to them 📞 directly.

When we bought this property, this area was an unattractive carport, barely big enough for one car. We wanted to create a four season ☀️❄️ outdoor space where guests can cozy up and enjoy a glass of wine 🍷 or cup of coffee ☕️ . This is the place where conversations happen and memories are made. Guests love relaxing here after a busy day of shopping, and they rave about the comfy rockers and ambiance of the space. Come cozy up with us!!

Amish country is full of charm, as we all know. Some of that charm is in part because of the Swiss heritage celebrated in Sugarcreek. Located in downtown Sugarcreek you can find the World’s Largest Cuckoo Clock, a nine minute stroll🚶 from Destination Cozy.
The ⏰ is over 23 feet tall and 24 feet wide. Every half hour, a cuckoo bird pops out and Swiss polka music plays and a couple dances. 💃🕺
