We dreamed up mimu & me somewhere during our 4 months in Europe with our baby and toddler.

We were determined to only take carry-on and gate check (although sometimes we had to check Mila’s pack n play and car seat *cough* RyanAir *cough*) and quickly we realized we couldn’t take a lot of toys with us.

We kept what we call “high play value” toys and activities - toys that kept them engaged for long periods of time, inspired independent play, could be fairly open-ended, and were small enough to fit in our toys/snacks/activities personal item.

We’ve sourced a lot of our favorites to include in the kits and really hope your family will love them and find as much value in them as we did.

Hi!

I’m Brittany, the creator and owner of mimu & me.

I was a full-time teacher for 11 years and then became a mom in 2020. Since then I’ve been in and out of the classroom, and we recently decided that I would stay home with “Mi” and “Mu” (more on them in future posts!) and pursue other interests.

I love to travel, and the Type A personality in me loves to obsess over the research, planning and booking process. We recently spent 8 months traveling with our kids, and I planned and booked it all myself. During that time, I spent hours researching the best activities and toys that would keep my kids entertained, but were also travel-friendly (did I mention we only took carry-ons?). We tried so many activities and I had the realization that hey, maybe other parents are doing the same thing and don’t want to do all of that research before a trip?

I am so excited to share all of this with you. I, too, am a tired parent who just wants to make travel a little easier and more enjoyable with kids.

Thanks for being here! I’d love to know more about all of you and what you are looking for in travel activities for your kids.
