Well, it's been two years, and I have decided to blog about our latest trip to Montreal, Canada. There is some surprising news inside. Read on and check it out:
Spending Thanksgiving weekend in Montreal, Canada with kids? See the Notre-Dame Basilica and read on to check out our experiences.
I kid you not. On our way to Montreal, this was my one and only digital photo of Lake George. Was busy trying to get my analog camera ready, and now I have to wait and develop my film to see the beauty of the area.
I have to say that it was a cold, cold pit stop. Would be nice to see the area again in the summer. It’s definitely a summer time place to stop.
Who doesn’t love a little Christmas cheer?!!! Say hello to the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree!!!
Made our way to Rockefeller Center and caught a glimpse of the Saks Fifth Avenue Holiday Light Show!!!

I remember how crowded The Trevi Fountain was in August. It may come down to a barricade for all the world to see the fountain and keep its beauty.

That family vacation just got a lot less expensive.
Your mouth may be watering now and it should. Hall Biergarten, Restaurant & Nightspot has this huge platter that you can share with friends. A little chicken, a little BBQ ribs, a little pulled pork, sides and all the fries you can eat. We left two pounds of fries on the platter and still walked away full. Thanks to our friends for inviting us out this Jersey City beer garden. It also comes with a foosball table, huge tv screen, Jenga blocks, and plenty of outdoor seating.
Loved this little musical spot at the St. James Park Playground. It was a welcome treat when you’ve had quite enough museum exhibits for the week.
Already missing the view of the Spanish steps in beautiful Rome, Italy.
🇮🇹 🇮🇹
13 years ago we took a stroll to Trevi Fountain. Past dusk in low light, armed with our point and shoot, the image was a blurry mess. This day was a bright and cheery day around high noon. There are no more coins in the fountain and no one sits on the fountain ledges, but it’s still a hot spot on anyone’s walking tour of Rome. See you later, Roma!
🇮🇹
Check out the sights and sounds of the Roman Forum and local music.

A stroll through Rome in the evening. Going down memory lane when Prof and I stayed at the hotel at the top of the Spanish steps. The evening was a much better time to go on our walking tour when the weather was unbearably hot for grandparents and youngsters. Also had gelato at another hot spot, Giolitti! The kids loved the multiple flavor options. And to end the night at the Pantheon. Fun times.
🇮🇹 🇮🇹 @ Rome, Italy
Instead of going to Pompeii, we changed our day trip plans to Bracciano, Italy. Only 30km from Rome, it was a quiet get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We enjoyed the medieval castle (Castello Orsini-Odescalchi) and view of Lake Bracciano.

I debated about turning the sound off, but the magic of Il Papiro is best heard with the sound on. Just magical...
My favorite paper store of all time exists in Florence, Italy - Il Papiro. Back in the day, you couldn’t take photo or video. They wanted to preserve the process. And now it’s available for all the world to see. So gorgeous!!! Makes me want to go back and make more art when we return home..

For all my Michigan friends, tell me if you can see the Northern Lights this weekend.
