Somewhere between the tourist-filled Colosseum and the crowded Trevi Fountain, be sure to find some time to discover a little peaceful magic at these spectacular hidden gems!

The Aventine Hill Keyhole
The Knights of Malta keyhole offers a unique, perfectly framed view of Saint Peter's Basilica in a historic piazza on Aventine Hill. Step up to the green door and peer through the tiny peephole. Your eye will trace its way along a perfect tree-lined pathway until you spot St. Peter's right smack in the center.

Quartiere Coppedè
This whimsical district of Rome may be tiny in size, but it's huge in culture and beauty. Take a few hours to stroll through unique architecture, decorative fountains, and frescoed facades. Think: art Nouveau meets medieval tradition.

Basilica of Santo Stefano Rotondo
Built on top of the remains of a second-century Mithraic temple, this stunning church was built in the fifth century - yes, fifth. While the architecture is stunning, the frescoes are... unique. Consider yourself a little twisted? You'll enjoy this one.

Trastevere
Ahh, Rome's favorite neighborhood. Take a short walk across the Tiber and find a charming medieval hub of local culture and unbeatable cuisine. Formerly a working-class district, Trastevere boasts artsy cuteness and a vibrant nightlife scene.

"Gianicolo" aka Janiculum Hill
Breathtaking views, here you come. Considered by many as the "eighth hill of Rome," this peaceful place offers postcard-worthy views of the central city.

Via Niccolò Piccolomini
See the dome of St. Peter's like never before. While this street offers a wonderful view from a unique perspective, it also offers a cool optical illusion! Walking along the road, keep your eye on the dome.

Savello Park aka "The Garden of Oranges"
offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city. Behind the Basilica of Santa Sabina near the Piazza Pietro d'Illiria, this terraced park is rich with lush greenery, vibrant roses, and yes - orange trees!

5 spots to add to your bucket list:

1️⃣The Maldives is a postcard perfect destination in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Composed of 26 ring-shaped atolls, this tropical nation is a favorite among divers for calm waters and a colorful array of fish including moorish idol, tall fin batfish, and parrotfish. Two of the most popular dive spots are Maaya Thila (dubbed the "White Tip Reef Shark Capital of the Maldives") and the UNESCO-protected Baa Atoll.

2️⃣Great Blue Hole • Belize
Located 60 miles off the coast of Belize, the Great Blue Hole is a massive underwater sinkhole near the center of Lighthouse Reef. The world’s largest natural formation of its kind, it was made famous by Jacques Cousteau in the 1970s when he filmed a show there. In addition to giant stalactites and stalagmites, divers can observe nurse sharks, giant groupers and several types of reef sharks including the blacktip shark.

3️⃣Molokini Crater • Hawaii
A crescent-shaped volcanic crater off the south coast of Maui, Molokini is a popular diving and snorkeling spot in Hawaii. Most of the crater is submerged in water and is home to a beautiful reef covered in dramatic cauliflower coral. Experienced divers can explore the reef’s backside, which drops down to about 360 feet, while beginner divers stick to the inner reef’s calm waters.

4️⃣Red Sea
Wedged between Africa and Asia, this inlet in the Indian Ocean is home to some of the world’s best diving with 1,240 miles of coral reef and more than 1200 species of fish. One of the most well-known dive spots is Ras Mohammed National Park in Egypt. Divers flock here to see the wreck of the SS Thistlegorm, a British navy ship that sunk in 1941.

5️⃣Great Barrier Reef • Australia
No list of dive spots is complete without the most famous reef in the world. Located off the coast of Queensland in Australia, is the world's largest coral reef at a staggering 1,400 miles long. Offering a variety of dive zones for both the beginner and the experienced diver, the Great Barrier Reef is astounding in its breadth. It’s also the only living organism visible from space!

Scotland Outlander Inspired Trip 👇 Join a ladies only trip - DM for more details.

⛰Highlands
Driving through the Scottish Highlands is one of the best ways to immerse yourself in the world of Jamie and Claire. Home to endless emerald green countryside and jagged mountain peaks, the Highlands are as Scottish as it gets! From Glencoe to Kinloch Rannoch, leave plenty of time to discover this historic region where Jamie lives.

🏰Doune Castle
In the village of Doune near Stirling sits the medieval Doune Castle, the setting for the fictional Castle Leoch, home to Jamie's uncle Colum MacKenzie and his clan. Built for the Regent Albany, it contains one of the best preserved great halls in Scotland.

😈Devil's Pulpit
See where Dougal took Claire to test her trustworthiness at the Devil's Pulpit, also known as Finnich Glen, located just outside of Glasgow. Known as Liar’s Spring in the series, the 100-foot deep gorge is a mystical place where, according to Scottish legend, the Devil addressed his followers. You'll need good walking shoes to walk down the steps to the gorge, but the reward is well worth the effort.

🏰Drummond Castle Gardens
Pretend you're attending a party at the Drummond Castle Gardens, which stood in for Versailles in Season 2. While the castle itself isn't open to the public, you can stroll the perfectly manicured formal gardens like Claire and Jamie.

🚂Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway
Embark on your very own romantic train journey at Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway in West Lothian. This heritage railway dating back to the 19th century was transformed into a wartime London railway station where Claire and Frank say their goodbyes. Explore Scotland's largest railway museum and board a preserved vintage steam train or diesel-hauled train!

✨Glasgow
Scotland's largest city has been featured several times in Outlander, most notably Glasgow Cathedral - used in Season 2 as the inside of the L’Hopital des Anges - and George Square, where Frank proposed to Claire in Season 1.

I still remember my first solo trip. I had just accepted a new job but had about 2 weeks to start. I was so nervous about going to a big city all by myself. I prepared everything in advance and did all my research. It honestly didn't take me long to get my bearings once I arrived.

I will never forget that trip. I spent 10 days in New York City. It is by far the best city on this planet. I live on the West Coast now but at the time I was based in Dubai so flying all the way to NYC was a long trip.

Do you remember your first solo trip? Let me know in the comments where you visited!

Beautiful words from the Swiss explorer and author Isabelle Eberhardt. She led a fascinating life and explored North Africa and lived her life freely as a vagabond.

She was fluent in French, German, Italian and Russian. She was taught Latin, Greek and Classical Arabic.

She studied metaphysics, chemistry and philosophy. She had an avid interest in Literature starting in her teens.

She began a pen pal correspondence with a French officer stationed in the Sahara. Her fascination with North Africa and knowledge led her to move there with her mother in 1879.

The both converted to Islam and moved away from the European quarter. Although she easily accepted Islam she did occasionally drink alcohol, smoke and have lovers. She loved dressing up as a man and enjoying what was "allowed" for men only at the time.

I know it’s not fair to play favorites, but I’m in love with Mexico and I don’t care who knows it! My clients always get a kick out of beach resort with cocktails and lounging all day!

And I second that! I had the opportunity to visit back in August and I enjoyed the sunny days and cocktails all day.

I recommend the Marina side for anyone who is in Puerto Vallarta for the luxurious stays and impeccable service.

The Greek Islands are incredible to see, and the good news is, that beauty doesn’t stop at just the coast. There’s lots to see and do inland too. The quaint villages, monasteries and world-class museums are a great way to take in Greek Culture. If looking for quiet places to relax and unwind, there are countless rural areas, both on the mainland and on the islands, where you can recharge your batteries away from the crowds. Are you a fan of laying back and enjoying the ocean breeze?

Exploring the Colosseum in Rome is always a big hit with kids and adults, but there’s one way to really level up the experience and dive even deeper into what it was like to live like a Roman — take a gladiator class! You can train to be a gladiator, learn to fight like a warrior from Ancient Rome, learn about life in the imperial city and Roman weapons. It’s a great activity you can do together as a family, and there’s no doubt the kids will be talking about it for a long time. Sounds fun doesn’t it?! Do you think your kiddos would enjoy this?

Paris ticks the tourist boxes for iconic attractions, such as the Eiffel Tower and the Champs-Élysées, but some of its loveliest sights are off the beaten track. Take for example the Canal Saint-Martin, a 19th-century waterway with shaded paths, metal bridges and locks. This is a gorgeous part of the city, where you can walk, jog or cycle along the canal's banks. The area is very popular with university students. This is a gorgeous part of the city, where you can walk, jog or cycle along the canal's banks. As you walk you can pop into little cafés and boutiques, and even sit down for a picnic if you’re visiting in the spring or summer. Stick around until the evening and you’ll be rewarded by the sun setting softly over the city. Have you seen the lesser-known sights in Paris yet?

Here are some tips to make sure you pack like a pro for a seaside (or lakeside) escape:

First get organized.
Packing cubes and compressions bags can help you save both space and time. They make unpacking easy as you can just slip them straight into the drawers of your hotel dresser.

Plastic storage bags that can be sealed are your friends as well. Especially for things like extra masks and liquid containers of your favorite sunscreen or apres-soleil balm.

Pandemic era basics; Here are what you need to bring with you
1. Washable reusable masks.
2. Disposable masks in sealed plastic bags.
3. Sanitizers and wipes.
4. Copies of your documentation.

There are two kinds of people who travel: those who pack light, and those who wish they did. If you over-pack or just have trouble sorting through what you want to bring, you may want to keep in mind some of these tips and tricks to not only pack light, but smart too.

1. Always have different sized plastic bags with you! They come in handy for food storage, prevent leaking inside your bags, can separate dirty clothes, and more. Pack toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, sunblock and other liquids in Ziplock bags to prevent them leaking on your clothes.

2. Packing a large, clean garbage bag can quickly save you or your bags from unexpected rain. It can become an emergency poncho, a tarp, or even a laundry bag.

3. Rolling your clothes together will leave you space in your suitcase, and not for more clothes! Having more space might tempt you into packing 'extras'. Avoid throwing in last minute T-shirts, pants, leggings, or shoes. You want to avoid bulk, so bring the jeans, ditch the heels.
