Today I climbed with my son 199 steps to the top of St James spire. The view of Louth is stunning and also interesting. Well worth a visit during your stay.

If you're looking for things to do this summer, Cycle Lincolnshire are hosting a fun and free competition. Take part and you will have the chance to win a £200 Lincolnshire Gift Card!

THE CHALLENGE:

To kick off a summer of cycling, Cycle Lincolnshire are hosting a photography competition. To enter, all you need to do is visit one (or more!) of the following market towns in Lincolnshire, and take a selfie or photo at each location you visit:

🚲 Caistor
🔆 Market Rasen
🚲 Louth
🔆 Mablethorpe
🚲 Grantham
🔆 Holbeach

HOW TO ENTER:

To enter Cycle Lincolnshire’s summer competition, all you need to do is take a photograph at whichever location you choose to visit. Your photos can be of anything you see along the way; your favourite landscape, a selfie, a business you visited en-route - the choice is yours. It’s up to you how many of the suggested market towns you go to, but the more pictures you submit, the more chance you have of winning!

When you’ve got the perfect shot, simply submit your photo via email to: [email protected] or tag us on Instagram . If one of your pictures is selected as the winning entry, you will win a £200 Lincolnshire Gift Card.

The competition will close on 15 September, so you have the whole summer to collect your photos - are you up for the challenge?

We had superb tapas last night at Bar Castillejar https://www.barcastillejar.co.uk. I highly recommend a visit . Kalisha was our waitress, she was delightful, so helpful. Feeling really guilty as we forgot to leave a well earned tip so we'll have to go back!

Eating tapas is a very sociable event and usually a few dishes are ordered per person, or several for the table to share.  This is said to encourage conversation as people are less focused on eating  an entire meal set before them.
