This is the biggest piece of fish I have ever seen! It came in at 35 cm long and was so delicious. Fish and chips from Golden Fish, Eastgate, Louth is a must when you stay at The Little House. Eat in or takeaway. Golden Fish, the best fish and chips in Louth!

Passing through open countryside of Trent Valley and the Lincoln Edge, this pretty route takes you through the attractive villages of Messingham and Manton. Stop off at Twigmoor Woods for some spectacular displays, especially in early summer when large numbers of dragonflies can be seen on the lakes.

Today I climbed with my son 199 steps to the top of St James spire. The view of Louth is stunning and also interesting. Well worth a visit during your stay.

If you're looking for things to do this summer, Cycle Lincolnshire are hosting a fun and free competition. Take part and you will have the chance to win a £200 Lincolnshire Gift Card!

THE CHALLENGE:

To kick off a summer of cycling, Cycle Lincolnshire are hosting a photography competition. To enter, all you need to do is visit one (or more!) of the following market towns in Lincolnshire, and take a selfie or photo at each location you visit:

🔆 Market Rasen
🚲 Louth
🔆 Mablethorpe
🚲 Grantham
🔆 Holbeach

HOW TO ENTER:

To enter Cycle Lincolnshire’s summer competition, all you need to do is take a photograph at whichever location you choose to visit. Your photos can be of anything you see along the way; your favourite landscape, a selfie, a business you visited en-route - the choice is yours. It’s up to you how many of the suggested market towns you go to, but the more pictures you submit, the more chance you have of winning!

When you’ve got the perfect shot, simply submit your photo via email to: [email protected] or tag us on Instagram . If one of your pictures is selected as the winning entry, you will win a £200 Lincolnshire Gift Card.
