You like Djo? His early work was a little too bedroom pop for my taste. But when Twenty-Twenty came out in '19, I think he really came into his own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to The Symposium, but I think Djo has a far more abstract, melancholic sense of humor. In '22 Djo released this; Decide, his most accomplished album. I think his undisputed masterpiece is "Gloom". A song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about a broken friendship and a need to escape your surroundings, it's also a personal statement about the artist himself.
