And thus endeth the Lu Family Thanksgiving SoCal Adventure! Ended the week with a private tour of the 5Cs campus led by our favorite Pitzer student followed by dinner at Pomona Valley Mining Company, which has serious Big Thunder Mountain Railroad vibes. 😂 It was a great week and we’re all going to sleep for the next 72 hours.

The penultimate day of the Lu Family Thanksgiving SoCal Adventure was at a blessedly slower pace. Spent two nights and one day in Santa Monica doing slightly more than nothing - delicious breakfast, naps, walking the Santa Monica Pier, riding the ferris wheel, and for the brave or foolish, a dip in the freezing Pacific. Best part of the day was having dinner with my cousin whom I haven’t seen in 16 or so years. Loved being with you, Anne Hefley! ❤️

Lu Family SoCal Thanksgiving Adventure Day 3 reporting in from Universal Studios Hollywood - highly recommend the VIP tour! The backlot tour is super interesting and we had a ton of fun riding rides, seeing characters, and seeing the shows. Another stellar day! ⭐️

Whew! What a day. The Lu Family SoCal Adventure involved touring Los Angeles today. Starting with breakfast at Mel’s Diner, we then visited Hollywood Boulevard and the Walk of Fame, the famous Hollywood sign, Melrose Avenue, Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive, Wilshire Boulevard, and the Farmers Market. It was a great day and a fun way to spend our 24th anniversary! 🩷

If you think you want to go to Tulum, we need to talk! There’s Tulum and then there’s Tulum adjacent-ish. All inclusive or European plan? On the beach or near the restaurants and shops? Or closer to Mayan archeological sites and in the jungle? Lots of amazing options but important to know the differences! Truly a beautiful destination with lots to offer!

When I travel, I tend to take and post lots of photos because I want to share what I’m doing and encourage others to also enjoy this big, beautiful world. For the first time in a very long time, I put my phone down and just enjoyed an honest-to-goodness vacation. It was bliss. I needed - and loved - every second of it! I travel more than I vacation…but not this time. I highly recommend it!

Yes sirree bob! I am officially out of the office until July 29! The first part is a work trip exploring the wine country in Mexico’s Guadalupe Valley with Mexico Famtrips. Research is important! Follow along with me the next few days to see what I learn. After this exhausting (sarcasm) trip, I will take a real, live vacay. Can’t wait for both!!
