Meet - Wanjiku Chebet Kanjumba, Kenyan born Aerospace Engineer and Kenya's first Scientist-Astronaut graduate from the Advanced PoSSUM Space Academy, USA.

She holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

She is the Co-Founder and Chair of Vicillion, a technology research and development firm that specializes in bringing their clients' product ideas to reality.

Wanjiku is also the Director and Assistant Head of Strategy & Communications of Space Partnerships and Research Company in Kenya (SPARC), East Africa's first independent space company.

"When I was younger, I was interested in science and learning about how the world worked and objects from outer space. So, I wanted to combine my passion for learning about space and how things work – and the answer was Aerospace Engineering."

"Pursuing my education has not been free of obstacles. Studying in the United States is very expensive, and I was supported mainly by my widowed mother; my father died from cancer when I was 12. She had to sacrifice a lot to educate me, and there were times when things were challenging when I did not have enough money for food or was not sure I would even graduate. It was not easy, but God has been faithful to us immensely and saw me through my Bachelor’s and Master’s programme in Aerospace Engineering. I am also working on my own company, aiming to write my name in the sands of time."

"If you live with limitations on yourself, you won’t accomplish much, but the world is your oyster if you put no limits. There’s nothing worse than living in regret, so take a chance on yourself; you are capable of a lot more than you think," said Wanjiku Chebet Kanjumba.

Did you know that Queen Elizabeth became Queen while she was in Nanyuki, Kenya 🇰🇪. She visited Kenya as a Princess and left Kenya as a Queen! And yes the most visited country by the Queen is Kenya! Four times! Kenya became a center ground of battles in the royal family as Princess Diana visited Kenya and was told to wear gloves so that she can hold AIDS orphans and she refused and a decade later Prince Harry was told the same and he refused in Kibera!

Followers of a Pretoria based church were ordered to consume a live snake and told it would become and taste like chocolate.
JOHANNESBURG – A post on Facebook claims to show Prophet Penuel Mnguni of the End Times Disciples Ministries in Soshanguve, Pretoria turning rocks into bread and snakes into chocolate which he feeds to his congregation.
In May, Mnguni, 24, was in the news with reports that he claimed to have turned members of his congregation into snakes. He hit the headlines after asking members to remove their clothes before praying for them.
Pictures on the church’s page showed the so-called prophet standing over members of his congregation as they writhe on the ground with their tongues sticking out after he “commanded the spirit of snakes to enter (them)”.

In the recent incident he is shown with a foot on a rock and some of his congregates eating from it. He is also shown feeding congregants pieces of cloth and a snake.

Mnguni is reportedly the understudy of Rabboni Ministries Prophet Lesego Daniel, who notoriously made his congregation eat grass and drink petrol.

According to Rabboni Ministries’ website Mnguni started his own church in March 2014 after he received leadership training from Daniel.One says:

The Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is alarmed by reports of the massacre of an as yet unconfirmed number of civilians in Mender (village) 20 and Mender 21 of Hawa Gelan Woreda in Kellem Wollega Zone, Oromia Region.

The Commission is monitoring the situation and has spoken with survivors who have fled the area and local sources. Sources indicate that the perpetrators are members of the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA- also known as Shane) and that the killings started in the early hours of July 4, 2022. EHRC has also learned that the populations of both Mender 20 and Mender 21 are known to be primarily of Amhara ethnic origin. Government security forces are reported to have reached the area but residents continue to seek shelter elsewhere.

EHRC Chief Commissioner Dr. Daniel Bekele said “The continued insecurity in the area and what appears to be the ethnically targeted killing of residents must be put to a stop immediately” and reiterated the Commission’s call for an urgent reinforcement of government security forces in order to prevent further civilian deaths.
