Did you know that the order of your park days actually does matter? For example, Magic Kingdom closes early on party nights, so if you’re not attending an event like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you might want to visit another park that day. These special events are separately ticketed and let you into Magic Kingdom as early as 4 PM, meaning you can skip a park ticket for that day and relax until the party starts in the evening.

Let’s talk about one of the top questions I get asked in my DMs: When is the best time to go to Disney? ✈️

If you’re trying to avoid crowds the following days should be avoided: Christmas day, Easter, June & July

On some of the busiest park days, guests can wait 2 hours or more for an attraction without the purchase of lightening lanes. 😳 This is twice as long as the less busy times of the year.

As a rule, weekends are normally busier than days of the week. So if planning a quick trip, Sunday night through Wednesday is typically ideal.

Other variables to consider are seasonal park hours, weather, resort rates, & crowd patterns.

Optimal times:
-Middle of January through early February
-End of April through late May
-September through December (with the exception of WDW marathon weekend, MLK Day weekend, Thanksgiving week, & Christmas week)

During these less crowded times is when Disney does renovations and some shows and attractions may not be available.

I’ve got the key to a fabulous vacation at Walt Disney World and it’s only two words, advanced planning. Did you know Walt Disney World has not one, but two water parks on property?💦 One of them is always open (they tend to rotate!) and right now guests are enjoying a relaxing day at Typhoon Lagoon!🌊🛝 Adding a water park day in the middle of your park week is a great way to keep the kiddos busy, but give your feet a break from the parks! Our favorite place to meet stitch is while eating breakfast at ‘Ohana!

If you're staying on Disney property and utilizing Disney transportation, being on the Skyliner loop is essential, especially if you plan to frequent Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

Wondering which resorts are part of the loop?
-Art of Animation
-Pop Century
-Caribbean Beach
-Riviera Resort

Additionally, while not directly on the loop, you could consider Yacht & Beach Club and the Boardwalk due to their proximity to the Skyliner near Epcot.

Review for all my Disney lover friends

The Christmas party tickets are 1000% worth it! You practically walk on every ride, free cookies and hot chocolate, tons of character photo opportunities, free ornament, and you can enter the park at 4 PM until midnight closure. This particular night was even "sold out" and we still were able to barely wait for anything because of the number of guest allowed to the party is significantly lower than an average park day. If we come at Christmas again, this will be a must do!

We had dinner at Diamond Horseshoe which is a traditional holiday meal with turkey and all the fixins. I would rate it 8/10 because southern cooking is best at home. But this was still great!”
