Throwback to the time that the unbrella looked like a hat!

Doyer’s street is a little hidden (for those of us with no sense of direction anyway) 🤪. But it has a beautiful mural by Dasic Fernandez!

Its inspiration was Chinese rice cultivation terraces.

Did you know that Doyer’s street was known as “murder alley” and its sharp curve was know as “the blood angle”? All thanks to the fact that gang wars used to happen here! 😬

This one was actually sent to me because it’s too funny to not share 🤣

If you know me, well, you know that I’m a disaster in the kitchen department.

During our Italy and Greece trip, our hotel had boiled eggs for breakfast. Little did I know that the machine with boiling water was to boil the eggs yourself. 🥚Those who know me well, would not be surprised about this!

So here I am, after I cracked the egg that I was supposed to boil myself! 🤣🤣🤣

I guess I should stop expecting everyone to boil eggs for me like HEB and Walmart do 😂

“The Bean’s reflective surface was inspired by liquid mercury. This shiny exterior reflects the people moving around the park, the lights of Michigan Avenue, and the surrounding skyline and green space… The reflection of the sky above the park, not to mention the curved underside of The Bean serves as an entrance that visitors can walk under to enter the park, inspired the sculpture’s creator to name the piece Cloud Gate.”

Fun fact: the real name is “Cloud Gate” 😅

If you know me well, I have a love-hate relationship with this city… you’ll either find me at a Yankees game ⚾️, at a rooftop 🍸, or at Thai Villa 🤤

❄️But it’s so magical during Christmas time!!!🎄

The first Rockefeller center Christmas tree tradition started in 1931 during the Great Depression. Its decorations are carefully selected based on events happening around us.
The ice rink is very popular and if you book with enough time, you can book a small Chalet and have hot chocolate with a wonderful view of the rink and the tree! 🥰

📍Lizard Island, Australia

I spent a week out in the Great Barrier Reef Reed diving with Spirit Of Freedom back in 2019.
In the middle of our trip, we had a stop at this beautiful island where we took a short hike 🥾

Even though, we were there for a short amount of time, there is a resort on the island. It is perfect for the adventurous soul seeking a touch of luxury. Lizard Island resort is the most northern resort on the GBR.

The sand apells our “Minkes” as we had the pleasure to snorkel with dwarf minke whales!

Pro tip: take advantage of the photographers onboard your cruise! We were taking a photo with one photographer, only to find out that another photographer was taking photos too! And out of the two photos, the “hidden photographer’s” photo was the best! 🤩

📍St. Mary’s Cathedral. Sydney, AU

After being in Australia for about 3 weeks, Sydney was my last stop. I decided to stroll down from my hotel to the Royal Botanic Gardens. Even though it was miles distance, there was a lot of “must-sees” along the way. Lo and behold, this beautiful cathedral was much beautiful than what the photos showed!

This cathedral sits next to the St. Mary’s Cathedral college. It’s is the oldest Roman Catholic school in Sydney’s. Although it offers sports as a co-curricular activity, it is heavily focused in music and its choir serves as the St. Mary’s Cathedral Choir.

🎶Metallica’s M72 World Tour concert had been one of the best concerts I’ve ever attended!

🤓My nerd fact about this place: when this stadium opened, our Texas A&M University-Kingsville marching band played for the half time show. I was “out” for the season due to a knee injury. In order to participate and receive the credit I needed, I became the band’s media ambassador (I guess you can call it that). I was able to go to the press box to record the half time show!

🏈Side note: cowboys are playing today! No. I don’t watch or root for them. But after all, the AT&T stadium is their home!

🗣️ During my last visit to NYC, I got to visit a speakeasy!🙊 🤐What is a speakeasy? The Prohibition era lasted from 1920-1933. During this time, there was a nationwide ban on the sale of alcohol. This is when speakeasy rooms came about! The term comes from having to whisper or speak “easy” to enter the hidden bar where alcohol was sold illegally! So enjoy a cocktail, spirit, or beer in a teacup or coffee mug, as that’s the way used to drink secretly! Cheers!☕️ A little more information from “The Back Room” website is below. For more cool history, visit http://backroomnyc.com The Back Room is one of only two speakeasies in New York City that operated during Prohibition and is still in existence today. It is a timeless example of the underbelly of New York past. The original 1920’s speakeasy, known simply as “The Back of Ratner’s,” played host to many theater and movie actors of the “Roaring Twenties,” as well as famous gangsters of the era. These gangsters included Bugsy Siegel, Lucky Luciano and Meyer Lansky. They were known to use the space for “business meetings.”
