After a night down Ocean Beach in Denmark it’s was Sunday brunch in town then a day @ Elephant Rocks, Greens Pool, Madfish Bay & Waterfall Reef. Stunning spot.
Tonight’s Walpole then in wine region

Day whatever and today
Hopetoun quaint little coastal hamlet and again stunning coastline
This morning we rolled into Bremer Bay.

What an absolute hidden gem Bremer Bay is.

An absolutely stunning place with the Bay offering magnificent 180° vistas. There’s a dive trail with leafy sea dragons and it’s orca season with the whales off the coast.

Only been here 8 hours or so and might have to extend the stay. It’s just stunning

Today was the Great Ocean Road
It was great, right along the ocean, good road.

In fact it was exceptional, beach after beach with islands offshore it was stunning even on a howling windy day. There’s nothing else along it, not a cafe or a general store which would have offered welcome relief from the wind.

Unbelievable infrastructure here in Esperance for a pop of 12,000. Quick staggering really.

And Sunday, everything is shut up tight. Not sure what they do but it ain’t coffee

I think the most unsettling thing about Esperance is the plaques to remember the shark attack victims at virtually every single beach.

Let just preface this by stating how big and diverse this state is.
Thanks to Helicopter McGowan the furthest we could possibly go from Broome was Esperance without going rogue and crossing the invisible border.
After dinner with the boys last night it was inland to Esperance.
Wouldn’t be a Moore getaway without some sort of natural disaster in close proximity and today we had our first bushfire experience with road closures east of Narrogin adding to the journey length which finally ended at Ravensthorpe; 2 hours west of Esperance.

We ate watermelon chunks as we drove through golden fields of cropped wheat.

Tomorrow we hit and hold onto the coast the whole way back to wherever the hell we get to.

The hard works all done, we’ve broken the back of the drive and it’s just lazy days from here

I plan to bog everyday and document our journey from Canning Vale to Esperance and back along the majestic SWWA coastline.
