Live - Visit - Stay - Blampied

Blampied is a small village on the edge of the Wombat State Forest in the Central Highlands of Victoria 117km’s NW of Melbourne between Daylesford and Ballarat.

Surrounded by ancient extinct volcano’s known as the seven clusters, Blampied has the most fertile volcanic soils in the district farmed for generations of the same families, that are still farming there today, together with some new farmers bringing a diverse range of local produce.

Blampied has one of the oldest continual licenced pubs, built in 1865 by Louis Blampied. The pub, named “The Swiss Mountain Hotel” is still thriving, together with many other local places to visit, play and stay - Captains Creek Organic Winery, Overwrought Garden Sculptors, Quirindi Stables, Hepburn Lagoon, Maze House, Village Dreaming Workshops and many other B & B’s, farms selling local produce, trail riding or just admiring the beauty of the ancient historic Volcano landscape whilst watching the sunset.

We hope you visit our village one day, and you will find many Villagers sharing their latest on what’s happening when and where in Blampied.
