Helambu is a region of highland villages in Nepal, about 80 km from Kathmandu. It is the home of the Hyolmo people. The word Helambu derives from the word Hyolmo. The Helambu region begins at the Lauribina La pass and descends to the Melamchi valley. Helambu is famous for its sweet apples. and artistic Buddhist monasteries and it is a Buddhist pilgrimage site. Several trekking routes visit Helambu, one of them being known as Helambu Trek.

This is a good trek for people who don't have much time in Nepal. It is an 8-day long trek which starts in Kathmandu itself, but can be completed in as little as 5–6 days. The normal trailhead starts off at Sundarijal and goes past Chisopani,Hyolmo, Kutumsang, Magin Goth, Tharepati, Malemchigaun, Nakote and Hyolmo, Tarke Gyang. After which you have the option of two roads one is the footpath via Sermathang or the bus route via Kiul Takpa Kharka. Kashye Both ways ultimately meet at Melemchi where you can take a bus back to Kathmandu. Another variation is the reverse of this trek. The maximum height reached during the trek is about 3650 m

Meemure is an isolated village in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It is located near the border between Kandy District and Matale District in the Knuckles Mountain Range and 324m above sea level.

There is no cellular service available in the village, but a CDMA telephone service is available. There is no direct mail delivery to the village.

Meemure is approximately a 7-hour drive from Colombo, in an off-road vehicle. The main route is via Kandy city which is 116 km away from Colombo. Then Kandy-Mahiyangana Road (A26) towards to Mahiyangana. Turn to Left from Hunnasgiriya Junction which is 35 km away from Kandy.
Then go towards the Loolwatte Village which is 15 km away from Hunnasgiriya Junction. Then from Loolwatte it is about another 15 km to the Meemure Village. The nearest Police station is Udadumbara Police.

The village itself receives abundant water in the form of waterfalls that have their sources in the evergreen forests of the Knuckles. East of the village lies the pyramid-shaped Lakegala mountain; while the west is dominated by the picturesque Knuckles range. The northern boundary of Meemure borders a forest that runs to the ‘Pitawala Pathana’ grassland and the south is bounded by Heen River.

Sigiriya is an ancient fortress situated in the Kimbissa village in the Dambulla Divisional Secretariat Division of the Matale District of the Central Province of Sri Lanka.

It is a huge rock which is about 200 meters high which is a place of historical and archaeological importance.
It is also known as the eighth world wonder.

Sigiriya, a palace built by King Kashyapa in the latter part of the 5th century, is still a tourist attraction. One of the oldest surviving ruins of Sigiriya, the Sigiriya frescoes are among the oldest preserved paintings in Sri Lanka.

The landscaping of Sigiriya is considered to be one of the most important aspects of the city and its gardens are one of the oldest landscaped gardens in the world created using natural landscapes.

The water parks found here are of beautiful design. The water park also has ponds of various depths, with streams flowing through the marble slabs. Flowers were supplied with a water-pressure system that still operates today. Water technology has been carried out on the Sigiriya rock using techniques used in the past.

The Sigiriya mirror wall was well-polished in the early years of its creation. As it passed, the king could see his reflection in the mirror wall. The wall is made of some type of ceramic wall and you can see the songs written by Sigiriya visitors. These songs are well preserved and contain poems written from the 8th century onwards.

In the center of the apartment is a lion gate and carved bird songs. The gardens extend hundreds of meters from the foot of the rock. Today’s amazing ruins give the viewer a sense of great creativity and creativity. Sigiriya Fort is a beautiful fortress consisting of water, forest and rocks.
