I just saw this incredible documentary on the Young Lords of Chicago. It debuts yesterday on PBS. I urge everyone to see it as it uncovers the unique history of Puerto Ricans in Chicago. 🇵🇷

Extended tour this morning with a group visiting from in Pensilvania, organized by the Chicago Center for Urban Life & Culture . Tour started with lunch then walking tour of Paseo Boricua with a stop at the new mural in progress by Renaldo Rodriguez on the corner of Division and Maplewood. This waking tour also included the National Museum of Puerto Ricab Arts & Culture where our guests enjoyed five wonderful exhibitions.

Perfect weather today for a tour with students from Richard’s Career Academy in Brighton Park / Englewood neighborhoods of the Southside of Chicago. First time tour of Paseo Boricua. They also toured The National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts & Culture and a salsa dance workshop by instructor Miguel Mendez. This tour was Bilingual with students from Columbia, Guatemala and Angola as well as life long south side residents.
