🚨2025 Wine & Dine Themes🚨

This year’s Wine & Dine Themes were released today and it’s got me thinking… if we sign up is it worth a costume repeat with these??

Olaf + Sven / Lady & The Tramp are 2 of my favorite costumes we’ve done and now they’re the theme!?! SO excited!!

It might just be my first costume repeat… 🫣

This is something I never want to take for granted. It didn’t matter that this was my 3rd D***y/4th Marathon, I still had all the nerves. I was still terrified I wasn’t going to finish. It got to the point that in the corrals, all that was going through my mind was just get to the finish line. Just get to the finish line. I was SO ready for it to be over before it even started because that meant I DID IT. I was even telling myself I could just not stop for characters, just not ride rides. Just push through without ever stopping so I’d be guaranteed to finish. And that’s when it hit me… that is NOT why I do this. I don’t rundisney just to say I did. I don’t rundisney just for the finish lines and the medals. I rundisney because of the journey. I signed up for my 1st marathon for the thrill of running through all 4 parks, for seeing rare & favorite characters on the course & getting to stop & get a picture with them, for the chance to ride a freaking ride during a race! But I keep signing up because of the people rundisney has brought into my life. If I only focus on getting to the finish line and “getting it over with” I miss all of that. I miss the connections. I miss the friendships. I miss the fun. I miss the reason I started doing this in the first place & keep doing it year after year. So we stopped for the very first character! And we kept stopping. And we kept interacting with friends and strangers. And we rode Triceratops Spin its last day being open during the dang marathon! And we still FINISHED. But even if we hadn’t it would’ve been okay because the fun was had and more importantly the friendships I have with these people (& others not pictured) grew even deeper on that course and that’s what matters most. So happy finish line Friday! But never forget that while crossing that finish line is one of the greatest feelings in the world, the friends you cross it with are even better💜

I hope I never try to sacrifice who I am as a “runner” again because as the great David Thompson says “there may come a day where you can’t do this but today is not that day!” So here’s to each finish line & never taking a single one for granted 🥂

ONE WEEK FROM WDW MARATHON

We are just ONE week away from the biggest event of the year! The WDW Marathon! The only full marathon on Disney property & the 4th and final day of the D***y challenge!

D***y was our 7th dwarf last year for obvious reasons 🤪 this year we’ll have a sporty twist of course! Guess what it is in the comments ⬇️

ONE WEEK TIL D***Y HALF

We are one week away until the Half Marathon! This is day 3 of D***y but day 1 for Goofy! Last year the half got cut in half and made our Happy/Grumpy costumes perfect: Happy we still got to run with how bad the weather was supposed to get & would have fresher legs for the next morning, Grumpy we didn’t get to run through the castle like planned & that our boy Max didn’t get to run a full half for his 1st Disney half! (Even thought he could’ve ran the half in what it took us to run the half half🤪)

But next weekend is another year and another race which means a new experience and new costumes!

One week until morning # ✌️ of D***y! The 10k is one of my favorite races/distances! + Chip & Dale being the mascot for it obviously makes me love it all the more🤪

This week I hit a goal I had set for myself in sales this year that I really didn’t know if it was achievable so thank you to everyone who made that happen! You made this girls week!!

You may not know it but if you book a trip without using a travel agent you still paid for one, but that company pocketed that extra money instead of giving it to a travel agent/small business so please keep that (and me🤪) in mind for your next vacation!

🚨WDW Closure Announcements🚨 •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Disney has finally (and sadly) given us some closing dates regarding Dinoland, USA. The last day of operations for TriceraTop Spin, Fossil Fun Games, and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures is January 12! TriceraTop Spin will always hold a special place in my heart as our 1st runDisney ride during a race so the fact that its last day operating is the 2025 marathon… I think I know exactly how we’ll say goodbye 💜💚 Other ride news is that the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness will be closing for a wildly long time for refurbishment beginning on January 6 and will not reopen until 2026!! These are 2 rides that hold some of my favorite memories so saying goodbye forever to one and goodbye for now to another ain’t gonna be easy! Are either of these a must do for your family?
