If you want a legitimate treehouse in and amongst the trees (not a stilt house on a cleared piece of land) one must dig the electric trench by hand. Happy to say not one tree was cut down when hand digging this 100’ long 3 ft deep trench!

Many of the winter guests come to the treehouse to ski but an often overlooked activity is winter hiking! Table Rock in Grafton Notch is great right now…no micro-spikes or snowshoes needed! This trail is 25 minutes from the treehouse!

Black Mountain of Maine never disappoints…. $25 tickets Thursdays, $35 tickets Fridays and $45 tickets Sundays. 4th highest ski area in Maine and one of the only places you can still ski corduroy at 11 am and get front row parking. Not to mention they have an incredible apres ski scene with live music.

Each door in the treehouse is unique. This door was repurposed from the oldest inn in Bethel. It still has the original hardware. A very cool door and my favorite in the house!

This photo of a Barred owl was taken by a recent guest. I love that the Barred Owls still hang out in the same trees they always have even though there is now a house in their trees! I think they actually enjoy having some company and are often found hanging out on and around the deck, keeping watch outside the loft or just hanging out in the surrounding trees talking!
