I know it is hard to imagine how much thought and consideration goes into these decisions, so I am asking for your patience and grace as we navigate through the next several days. We are not making these decisions alone and are communicating constantly with our unsheltered community members, especially over the past 72 hours as we have been providing around the clock services.

HERE IS THE PLAN:

We will pause the C.R.E.W. response at 1pm today and will resume Thursday at noon. The temperatures are rising today and will stay somewhat elevated for the next several days BUT we are expecting an extreme weather event that could bring a significant amount of snow to the area, so we are making a temperature threshold exception.

**IF THE SNOW DOES NOT COME THE EXCEPTION IS VOID**

C.R.E.W. Response Schedule:

12pm - 6pm (Jefferson Elementary)
6pm-6am (Genesis Church, 7hills and Salvation Army Overnight Shelters)

FRIDAY (TENATIVE - based on weather)
6am-6pm - (Jefferson Elementary)
6pm-6am (Genesis Church, 7hills and Salvation Army Overnight Shelters)

7hills Overnight Shelter (non-emergency) continues to operate at its capacity outside of C.R.E.W. Response.

FBI - New Orleans alongside our federal, state, and local partners opened a Family Assistance Center (FAC) to provide services and care to the victims of the Bourbon Street Terrorist Attack. The FAC offers crisis assistance including mental health services, financial and lodging assistance, and other resources.

Anyone present during the attack can also retrieve personal effects or items left behind. This center is for victims, their family members, and anyone present at the Bourbon Street attack, even if they were not physically injured.

The FAC will provide services from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. (hours subject to change) at St. Martin de Porres Parish School at 5621 Elysian Fields Avenue.

Victims can also visit fbi.gov/bourbonstreetvictims to fill out a short form and find additional information and resources.

EXTREME WEATHER SHELTER OPENING!!!!

URGENT PLEASE SHARE (VOLUNTEER INFO AT BOTTOM)

The Fayetteville C.R.E.W. Extreme Weather Protocol will begin this evening, Sunday, January 5th. We will continue to watch the weather but at this time it looks like we will be operating Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night as the temperature begins to rise during the day on Wednesday.

Unsheltered community members needing shelter should come to Jefferson Elementary School (on MLK) beginning at 5pm for location assignment/information for tonight.

Shelter Times:
6am-6pm - Jefferson Elementary (breakfast and lunch provided)
6pm-6am - Genesis Church/7hills Homeless (dinner provided)

With freezing temperatures currently forecasted to start Sunday evening into Monday morning, here is guidance to help prevent frozen water lines and what to do if you suspect your pipes are frozen – or if your water pipes burst.

*If there is no water coming from any of your faucets, there may be a problem with your meter or an outdoor supply line. The after-hours number is 479-587-3555 (Fayetteville Dispatch) for weekends and weekdays from 4 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.. Otherwise, please contact Fayetteville's Water/Sewer Operations at 479-575-8386 to report the issue Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Looks like our perfectly wonderful companion of 13 years a lively old girl that has shepherd & lab and a very healthy mix of genetics she continues to be the best gift and she wasn’t a young puppy when she found us and that’s the magic because she is for ever grateful to have found her home as we are to have her in ours !

REMINDER: Until Dec. 31, adoption fees are waived for all dogs at Animal Services, and each pup adopted comes with special surprises.
