As of January 7, 2021, Transport Canada requires all air travellers entering Canada from international destinations, five years of age and over, to present a negative COVID-19 PCR or RT-LAMP test result before boarding. The test will supplement, not replace, the requirements for health questionnaires, temperature checks and face masks.
Travellers will need to arrange for Covid-19 testing before their return to Canada, within 72 hours prior to their return flight. If a traveller is departing from the Caribbean or South America a test can be conducted within 96 hours only until January 14, 2021. It is each traveller’s responsibility to source and pay for their own valid PCR or RT-LAMP test.
