A turtle has laid her eggs on beautiful Ramla beach, Gozo! The nest site will now be guarded 24/7 until the hatchlings emerge and make their way to the sea in about 8 weeks time. If any of our summer guests want to volunteer to patrol, you can message Wildlife Malta for details.

These two cuties are having such a good time that just 4 days into their first holiday at The Gozo House they've persuaded their parents to pencil in a return trip in 2024 AND 2025! Meet Gordon Geko, who lives on the roof of Ta' Sheila, our Gozo house. He's the perfect house guest - doesn't smoke, drink, have wild parties or leave the air-conditioning on all day 😜 He eats lots of flies and bugs and although a little shy, will pose for a photo if you're quick enough!

Those who have stayed in our house before will have fond memories of Sannat Lions Football Club and their pizzas. Well, the place has had a face-lift with a swanky mezzanine dining area and trendy paint job. You can still get a delicious pizza and a pint of Cisk lager for under £8 though!

Love this view from the roof terrace over the village. I've had a few messages enquiring about the availability of The Gozo House for this summer: currently May is fully booked, there is some availability in June and July, August is booked until 22nd, then it's available up to 10th September. Late Sept and October, when the weather is perfect for walking, also has good availability. Mates rates for friends and family = approx half the price of comparable properties on airbnb. Please message me for details.

We treated ourselves to a Spa Day at the swanky local hotel 10 mins walk from The Gozo House - just €70 for the use of the sauna, steamroom, gym, whirlpool bath, beautiful (heated) lagoon pool, lunch on the terrace with stunning views and an excellent massage - well worth it!

Our spring trip to Gozo is always part R&R and part maintenance jobs ready for our summer guests. In the past couple of days I've sanded and re-stained all the wooden outdoor furniture, repainted the woodburning stove, cleared out and re-organised both storerooms and sorted all the bed linen and towels....I need a holiday now!🤣

The Strawberry season starts on the 1st of April in the Maltese Islands - and of course they have a festival to celebrate! Love the colour of these juicy ones (no filter). Oh and I have also repaired and stained our outdoor table ready for the summer!

5th August onwards.
Gozo is particularly beautiful in the spring - perfect weather to explore the island - and Easter is a very special time with lots of processions and tradition. Please get in touch if you'd like a booklet and to find out about our 'mates rates'!

After 2 years away, we decided the double bed mattress really had seen better days, so we ordered a new one, which was custom-made in the next village in less than 4 working days and delivered not just to the door, but to the waiting bed - how's that for service?! Apologies to those guests that have suffered the squeaky springs and the slight dip in the middle - please come back and try out our lovely new mattress!😁

Gozo in the autumn is gorgeous: greener, (slightly) cooler and quieter than the summer months, it's a time for exploring the island's unique history, discovering hidden bays and breathtaking views on walks and watching spectacular sunsets from beachside bars after a dip in the sea. Availability from 14th October onwards if you fancy a break in a Green list country before the UK winter lockdown...

Due to a change in travel restrictions which sees Malta & Gozo only accepting UK travellers from age 12 who have been double vacinated, I have availability at my Gozo house from now until 14th August So if you have been fully vaccinated and you fancy a break in the sunshine in a beautiful old house with its own pool and in country that has now vaccinated nearly 90% of it population aged 12+, please message me for details!

With the news that Malta & Gozo are rattling through their vaccination programme and that the UK are likely to avoid a 3rd wave, it's looking good for summer holidays at our Gozo house this year! I'm now taking no deposit/no commitment/no cancelation fee bookings for dates from 18th June onwards. The house is self-contained with its own pool and we have scheduled more 'empty' days to allow for cleaning, so it is very covid-safe. Please get in touch if you'd like more details!

Great news - it looks like an 'air bridge' between the UK and Malta will be in place for the summer, so if you fancy trying out the new air-conditioning at our 3-bed, 3-bathroom house with private pool on the beautiful island of Gozo, please get in touch. We're taking 'pencil' bookings now, and if you do go ahead and confirm a booking, we're offering a full refund if you have to cancel due to CV-19 restrictions.
