It’s Halloween! For most kids (and adults) this is one of our favorite times of the year since we get to dress up in pretty or scary costumes, meet our neighbors and eat lots of candy.
Here are a few tips to make sure we all have a fun, healthy and safe Halloween:
- Don’t trick-or-treat alone. Parents make sure you keep your kids in sight at all times and for the older kids, make sure you stay with your group of friends.
- Always look both ways before crossing the street.
- If a stranger invites you into his or her home, JUST SAY NO!
- Check your treats for tampering. Sometimes people may add harmful substances to treats in order to cause harm to you or your kids.
- Use reflective tape on your costumes and goodie bags so drivers can see you clearly.
- Bond with your kids by making some healthy Halloween treats…we are sure your doctor and dentist will love to hear about that.
- Parents – check your State’s S*x Offender Registry to see if there are any registered s*x offenders in your area.
Have a happy and safe Halloween!
