It’s the calm before the storm as we just put the hot rod in the box. The first 2 race weekend is ahead, wish us luck as we take on some of the best in the buisness for 70 laps at Riverhead on Saturday and 100 Laps at Evergreen on Sunday!! It’s going to be an epic Labor Day weekend!

We had a great car and an awesome run last night, can’t ask for much more than being locked in a hell of a battle for the win late in the race, unfortunately it was redirected with 3 to go. Can’t wait for next week, and the best news of all, no motor work needed!!!

She’ll be back and just a little bit faster.

When the dry sump belt fails and the oil pressure falls to zero at the end of the back stretch....you’re gunna have a bad time.

Thank God we caught it as soon as it happened, the new bearings are already installed

It was a rough season opener for the 49, a mishap in the heat destroyed the RF of the car. This initiated a Herculean effort by our team to hang and line up a complete RF assembly. We were able to have it close for the feature due to some absolutely unbelievable help and effort from Dennis at Oval Speed, a loaner shock from the 98 team, and a borrowed gauge from the 24. Surprisingly we were very competitive and began a march forward only to have the oil pressure drop out early in the race. Luckily it was caught as the pressure faded, but it ended our night. We began tear down and investigation in the shop after the races and everything looked promising. She’ll be ready for week 2.

Final scale last night, loaded today. Don’t worry pops she’s got a reinforced front bumper. Trying to capture some of that opening night tomorrow.

Great day at practice, we were able to get a good amount of testing in and laid down a lap!! P1 on the day, looking forward to opening night. Thanks to everyone that helped get us here
