Travel hacks:

-Always carry a bottle of water with you when you're traveling, even if you think it's not necessary. There might be a long line at security and you'll be thankful for having access to some water.

How to survive a long-haul flight:

-Make sure you have enough space in your suitcase for souvenirs from each country you visit, as well as gifts for friends and family back home.

-Wear layers that can be easily removed or added when needed (e.g., extra shirts). You don't want to get stuck with just one outfit because it doesn't fit into your luggage!

-Bring at least one pair of comfortable shoes that will hold up under extreme walking conditions (e.g., flip flops).

Flip flops are great because they're easy to slip on and off but also have good traction for those slippery cobblestone streets in Italy or Spain—and they're cheap!

If you've ever had to pack for a trip with only a carry-on suitcase, you know it can be an ordeal. Here are our tips for making it easier:

Pack your bags the night before so you have time to repack if you need to.

Pack your clothes in ziplock bags. (It's easier to find what you're looking for.)

Choose fabrics like denim, wool, or silk that can be folded rather than rolled up. (And if you do roll them up, roll them tightly.)

Roll your clothes instead of folding them. It takes up less space.

Bring an extra pair of shoes and wear them on the plane. They'll save space in your bag!

Pack light! The lighter your bag is, the less likely you are to have issues with weight restrictions or getting charged extra fees (and trust us, airlines don't care how much stuff costs—they just want their money).
