Ashland, KY (October 30, 2024) - Rock the Country is excited to announce that the two-day event - A Festival For We The People - will be returning to Ashland, Kentucky on July 11-12, 2025 as it travels to 10 cities across the United States, bringing massive shows with unforgettable performances to country and rock music fans in small town America.

“Ashland definitely rocked it last year and we can’t wait to bring the excitement and energy back,” said Nathan Baugh, CEO of Peachtree Entertainment. “The second year of Rock The Country in Ashland will expand on last year’s experiences with a jam-packed variety of music performances, amazing food, and a sense of community that only Boyd County can offer.”

Jazz Alley Season is here at the Paramount Arts Center!

The Mike Tracy Quartet, accompanied by Sean Parsons, performed a diverse selection of jazz tunes during their performance at the Paramount Arts Center on July 27th. The Jazz Alley Series highlights accomplished jazz musicians from across the globe; the quartet commemorated the 22nd annual Jazz Alley performance.

Regionally and nationally acclaimed musicians, the Mike Tracy Quartet, along with Parsons, showcased the beauty and complexity of jazz music while educating younger generations on the history of an authentically American art form.

Established in 1984, the Highlands Museum & Discovery Center consists of a number of educational and entertaining exhibits. The museum features a Country Music Highway exhibit, rotating art exhibitions, a 19th-century school classroom, a World War II exhibit, an interactive discovery center, and more! A destination for the entire family, guests can learn about Kentucky's rich history through a variety of immersive experiences.

The county seat of Boyd County, Catlettsburg, Kentucky is rich in history. Incorporated in the 1850s, the city was named after early settler Alexander Catlett. Given the city's ideal location, the concurrence of the Ohio and Big Sandy rivers, a number of industries have thrived throughout Catlettsburg's history.

A collection of murals painted along the city's flood wall pay homage to the region's unique industrial history. The murals were designed to increase tourism in the area, as well as educate onlookers of Catlettsburg's history. These impressive artistic displays commemorate a number of historical figures and events, such as local author Billy Clark. The murals also offer a glimpse into what Catlettsburg once looked like. The community was heavily involved in the creation of the murals, as many residents provided resources to ensure that the region's history was represented truthfully and authentically. Despite years of weathering, the murals remain in pristine condition as a result of local artists who diligently attend to them.
