Our local stretch of Interstate closes often. Please know that Airbnb and VRBO cancellation policies DO NOT include refunds for road closures and / or inclement weather! Therefore, we highly suggest purchasing insurance if you have reserved one of our vacation rentals. Trip cancellation and interruption insurance can be purchased through CSA Travel Protection, 866.999.4018, www.vacationrentalinsurance.com.

This photo was taken by the Colorado Department of Transportation after a recent mud slide closed the Interstate and recreation path in Glenwood Canyon. Guests should indefinitely expect that the Interstate will temporarily close whenever moisture is expected in the Grizzly Creek Fire (August 2020) burn scar. The recommended detour will add about three hours to your trip.

A great big shout out to our in house handyman who always goes above and beyond for our home owners and guests alike! We never charge for basic handyman services, but you will often find him performing more specialized tasks (such as repairing a leaky garbage disposal as shown below) without a charge as well! He immediately responds to guest concerns and has even been known to change a guest's flat tire! We are so thankful for him!

Bear Hollow Retreat is the last of our four newest vacation rentals to begin accepting reservations! This home is located on a family owned ranch in Canyon Creek just six miles west of Glenwood Springs and a short drive to Aspen and Vail. A working ranch since World War II, guests will experience grazing cattle and horses as well as mountain wildlife such as turkey, deer, elk and bears.
